How can people be stupid enough to believe this? If Obama is elected and this woman still has to work on buying gas, and work on paying her mortgage, what happens then?

 

The liberal elite are to blame for this poor woman's delusions. But I guess they are smarter than the rest of us.

To those who say that Obama's associations with Ayers, Wright, Khalidi, et al mean nothing....I suggest you listen to what your candidate is saying. Listen to the words. Get past the pomp, the flash, the mesmerizing speech. Listen to the words. Listen to what this man wants to do to YOUR country. He promises you everything....

Yet if you speak out and question him as did Joe the Plumber, you are investigated. An ACORN insider is testifying before a Federal Grand jury, and she testifies that she has been warned to be quiet.  Who is pressuring the LA Times to keep the video under wraps?  Obama's Truth Squads in Missouri threaten those who speak out against Obama with lawsuits and legal harrassment.

Obama supporters - Does this not bother you?  Is it more like all's fair in love and war, and this election is war? How could you vote for someone who has no respect for our Constitution? How could you vote for a man who would lie as his first act as President by merely vowing his Oath of Office?

COUNTRY FIRST - MCCAIN/PALIN '08 - AMERICA FIRST

Excellent opinion piece in the Wall Street Journal Online by Steven G. Calabresi.

Calabresi begins his article commenting on how the Democrats have been hugely successful blocking President Bush's lower federal court appointments. He explains how with empty seats Bush nominee Peter Keisler has been denied even a committee vote for two years for the DC circuit court of appeals - amazingly the same amount of time since the Democrats took control of Congress. With an Obama win and a super majority, all of Obama's appointments will go unchallenged. This will result in the legal left having a majority on 9 of the nation's 13 circuit court of appeals.

Six of the current nine SCOTUS justices will be 70 years old or older on January 20, 2009.  The next President could very possibly make no less than four appointments to the SCOTUS in his first term. The concern is Obama's extreme left-wing views regarding the roles of judges. He believes that judges ought to decide cases with the empathy they feel for the little guy in a lawsuit. (say what?) With this view, we would see more wins for the plaintiffs, for criminals against the police, citizens against the government, etc. Empathy, not justice should  be the mission of the federal courts, and the redistribution of wealth should be their mantra.

In 2001 Obama lamented that the SCOTUS didn't break free from the "essential constraints that were placed by the Founding Fathers in the constitution". What he means by this is he noted the US Constitution as written is only a guarantee of negative liberties from government, not an entitlement to a right to welfare or economic justice.

Calabrisi raises the question of whether Obama can in good faith take the Presidential Oath to "preserve, protect and defend the Constitution" as he must do if he is to take office. He asks if Obama supports the Constitution as it is written, or does he support amendments to guarantee welfare. Calabrisi asks if Obama's "tax cuts" to millions of non tax paying Americans a foreshadowing of constitional rights to welfare, health care, social security, vacation time, and redistribution of wealth. These are excellent questions for us to ponder before the elections.

Calabrisi forms the picture of Obama tearing the blindfold off the the traditional view of justice as a blindfolded person weighing legal claims fairly, and allowing justice to rule for the party he most empathizes with.

This thought provoking article is summarized with a frighening view of the future of our court systems and constitution under an Obama presidency.  We could very well end up with our Founding Fathers' constitutional vision unrecognizable at the end of an Obama administration. We should think long and hard about our choices next week. Our Constitution as we know it is at stake.

AMERICA FIRST - MCCAIN/PALIN '08

Obama says if you make $250,000 $200,000 $150,000 per year or less, he will not raise your taxes. By technicality, he will not raise your taxes, but your taxes will go up.

Obama says he will not renew Bush's tax cuts for the rich. He will let Bush's tax cuts expire in 2010. So what does that actually mean? Letting Bush's tax cuts expire would roll the tax schedules back to the Clinton years. Let's do a few samples:

Married, filing jointly, your taxable income (adjusted income less exemptions and deductions) is $500,000.  Your taxes for 2007 were $147,206 with a marginal tax rate of 35%. Rolled back to 1999 taxes, you pay $171,161 with a marginal tax rate of 39.6% - a tax increase of $23,955.

Yea, the rich get taxed more!

Well, say your taxable income is $35,000, your taxes for 2007 were $4,467 with a marginal tax rate of 15%. Roll that back to 1999 and you get a tax break, right?  Not really. Your taxes are now $5,250 with a marginal tax rate of 15% - a tax increase of $782.50.

Wait.

I though Obama was not raising taxes on people who make less than $150,000 per year? What is up with this?

Let's say you are married filing jointly and have $60,000 taxable income. Your taxes for 2007 were $8,217.50 (marginal tax rate of 15%). Rolled back to 1999 and your taxes are now $11,203.50. O_O A martinal tax rate of 28%! wtf?  This is a tax increase of $2,986!

Well, $60,000 is a bit much for the average single head of household, right? So let's do the same calculation for head of household (single parent with kids) with $35,000 taxable income. 2007 taxes were $4,690, marginal tax rate 15%. Rolled back to 1999, taxes are now $5,308, marginal tax rate of 28%!! What?!?!? No way.

I guess Obama lied. 

Or maybe Obama didn't know the tax rates will go up for everyone when he refuses to renew the Bush tax cuts.

He says he didn't know Rev Wright was saying those things, despite over 20 years of sitting in those pews, despite Rev Wright officiating his marriage, despite Rev Wright baptising his children, despite Rev Wright initially being included in his campaign as his spiritual advisor. He didn't know.

He says he didn't know Rezko was stealing government money and leaving the poor he was to house out in the cold, despite Rezko assisting his loan for his $1.6m home in Chicago. He didn't know.

He says he didn't know Ayers was an unrepentant terrorist despite having launched his political career from Ayers' home, despite serving on the same boards in the same socialist/marxist programs with Ayers.  Oh yes, he was 8 years old when Ayers bombed police stations, the pentagon, etc. He didn't know.

What else does he "not know"?  There is something to be said for the company you keep.  It has nothing to do with guilt by association, it has to do with similar philosophy. 

It has to do with Obama would not pass a security clearance if he wished to sign up with the FBI.

Obama denies connections to ACORN, Biden denies campaign money sent to ACORN - yet the Obama campaign sent over $800,000 to an arm of ACORN's Citizen Services Inc for a voter registraton program. So what exactly has ACORN been most notorious for in the news this election? How about the 2006 or 2004 elections?   Oh, but he didn't know?  He was 8 years old when he gave ACORN $800,000?

In the recently released 2001 Redistribution Interview, Obama states the tragedy of the civil right movement was that it guaranteed voting rights and other similar rights, but that the SCOTUS failed to address "economic justice".  "Ecomonic justice" = "redistribution of wealth"?

Obama says our constitution is flawed. "It was a remarkable political document....also reflected the fundamental flaw in this country that continues to this day".  THIS from the First Term Junior Senator from Chicago with the worst judgement of character ever presented in a Presidential candidate.  Oh, but he didn't know.

So you think Bush had a lock on violation of rights with the Patriot Act? Do a search for Obama Truth Squads.  Open your eyes and see how the campaign reacts when pressed for answers, when people ask the hard questions, when people dare to bring up Obama's past connections.

While you are at it, search for H.B. 110-808, Department of Peace and Nonviolence Act sponsored by 71 Democrats, 0 Repubicans. While this particular bill may or may not pass, I do believe that Obama's goals raise similar type bills. I find the following passage to be particularly disturbing:

102(f)(6) create and establish a Peace Academy, which shall--

Obama wants to cut our military spending by 25%, yet he wants to create a civilian community police.  Probably trained in the Reeducation Camps...er...Peace Acadamy.  What, pray tell, do we need a civilian community police when we already have the CIA, FBI, Secret Service, state and local police?

Since we are moving towards a dreaded super majority in the House and Senate, should we not attempt to buffer that with McCain instead of Obama? Or do we really want to give unchecked power to the Democrats, especially since the Democrats with the most power are also the Democrats who are the farthest left?  Think about that people. Obama, Pelosi, Reid, Franks.  Do we want these people to pick the next 2 or 3 Supreme Court Justices, unchallenged?

Example of socialism/redistribution of wealth:

"Yesterday on my way to lunch at Doe's, I passed one of the homeless guys in that area, with a sign that read "Vote Obama, I need the money."

Once in the Doe's my waiter had on a "Obama 08" tee shirt.

When the bill came, I decided not to tip the waiter and explained to him while he had given me exceptional service, that his tee shirt made me feel he obviously believes in Senator Obama's plan to redistribute the wealth. I told him I was going to redistribute his tip to someone that I deemed more in need--the homeless guy outside. He stood there in disbelief and angrily stormed away.

I went outside, gave the homeless guy $3 and told him to thank the waiter inside, as I had decided he could use the money more.

The homeless guy looked at me in disbelief but seemed grateful.

As I got in my car, I realized this rather unscientific redistribution experiment had left the homeless guy quite happy for the money he did not earn, but the waiter was pretty angry that I gave away the money he did earn.

Well, I guess this redistribution of wealth is going to take a while to catch on, with those doing the work."

Change you need. Yes we can. Words. Just words.

Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain....

Our future, post Nov 4 - Welcome to the USSA - United Socialist States of Amerika.  With redistribution of wealth, once we are all equal, we will be equally poor. Check the history of socialism/redistribution. IT DOES NOT WORK.  While Europe becomes more conservative and moves away from socialism/collectivism, the USA - that beacon of freedom and prosperity - moves left to socialism/collectivism.  USA. USA. USA. USA.
