If you or I decided to go wild with our credit cards and didn’t pay off those balances regularly, we would see what we owe expand rapidly as high interest rates make the debt increasingly hard to manage.

There’s a price to pay for unwise financial decisions. Most of us understand the economic consequences of living beyond our means.

Except for President Joe Biden and the federal government, that is.

Start the day smarter. Get all the news you need in your inbox each morning.

The national debt is already at $34 trillion and is quickly hurtling toward $35 trillion (it was roughly $27 trillion  when Biden took office).

You may not care, but you should.

The costs of carrying such a significant debt are putting pressure on other spending priorities as interest alone takes up a higher percentage of the government’s budget. In fact, interest payments are the fastest-growing segment of the budget.

The U.S. just hit a new “milestone”: In the first seven months of the current fiscal year, payments on interest have cost taxpayers more than defense and Medicare spending. Only Social Security eats a higher percentage of the budget – for now. In less than 30 years, interest on the debt will likely become our largest expenditure.

Yup, another one bites the dust!

Stormy Daniels’s testimony on Tuesday was such an absolute disaster that even CNN was forced to admit it.

CNN legal analyst Elie Honig said that, although Daniels’ testimony about a sexual encounter with Trump in a hotel room in 2006 was “plausible,” her responses while under cross-examination by Trump’s legal team called her credibility into question.

Referring to the moment Daniels admitted she hates President Trump, Honig said, “Her responses were disastrous.”

Adding, “That’s a big deal.”

“When the witness hates the person whose liberty is at stake, that’s a big <snip> deal!”

“And she’s putting out tweets, fantasizing about him being in jail. That really undermines the credibility.”

Honig also referenced Daniels’s comment that she has no intention of paying court-ordered legal fees to Trump  after her failed defamation case against him was tossed out.

Daniels has said on social media she “will go to jail” before she has to “pay a penny.”

“The fact that she owes him $500,000 by order of a court, owes Donald Trump a half million dollars, and said, ‘I will never pay him. I will defy a court order,’ the defense is gonna say, ‘She’s willing to defy a court order. She’s not willing to respect an order from a judge. Why is she gonna respect this oath she took?’ So, I thought it went quite poorly on cross-exam.”

REMINDER: The Biden Administration Granted Iran Billions in New Sanctions Relief Just One Month Ago

By  Apr. 13, 2024 10:00 pm94 Comments

Tonight, as Iran launches attacks on Israel, it is important to remember that exactly one month ago the Biden administration granted new sanctions relief to Iran that gave the country access to billions.

The move was criticized by Republicans and downplayed by Democrats and the liberal media.

It’s just another reminder that Biden has a habit of making the exact wrong decision on foreign policy every single time.

FOX News reported in March:

US frees up billions in sanctions relief to Iran as Tehran proxies wreak havoc in region

White House national security advisor John Kirby on Friday said the funds from a sanction waiver extended this week by the Biden administration to permit Iraq to purchase energy from Iran will not go to its “mullahs.”

“None of this money goes to the mullahs. None of this money goes into Tehran. The sanctions relief that is provided actually goes to vendors that provide humanitarian assistance to the Iranian people,” he told Fox News White House correspondent Jacqui Heinrich, during a Friday press briefing. “Not only do the Iraqi people not suffer because of this, the Iranian people aren’t going to suffer because of this.”

“That allows for Iraq to be able to work its way off of Iranian energy so that they can keep the lights on,” Kirby said.

The Biden administration on Thursday came under criticism after it again extended a sanction waiver despite repeated pushback from those concerned that Iran could misuse the funds.

This is all connected.

Donald Trump had Iran broke. Joe Biden gave the Iran Regime hundreds of billions of dollars in sanctions relief, credit and cash. Iran is now attacking Israel with Joe Biden’s money.

Star Witness Just Torpedoed Fani’s Case – Dooms Anti-Trump Democrat with 1 Perfect Word

Star Witness Just Torpedoed Fani’s Case – Dooms Anti-Trump Democrat with 1 Perfect Word

The prosecutor leading the Georgia criminal case against Trump is facing problems of her own. Allegations have hit Fani Willis that she hired her partner to work on the case. She paid him a higher salary, which he used to take them on vacations.

Nathan Wade’s attorney was called to testify about their relationship. It appears Willis is claiming she was not involved with the man before she hired him.

But text messages between Wade and Terrance Bradley suggest otherwise. Lawyers grilled the key witness while on the stand. And a revelation in court made him sink Willis with just one word.

From Fox News:
Defense attorney Ashleigh Merchant at one point referenced text messages between her and Bradley in which she had asked Bradley if he thought the relationship started before Willis hired Wade in 2021. Bradley responded “absolutely” in the text exchange.

When confronted with a record of those texts in court Tuesday, Bradley appeared to mutter “dang.” But then he said he was “speculating” in those comments.

It appears Terrance Bradley had texted another attorney about Willis and Wade’s relationship. He stated that their relationship began in 2019, not in 2022 as Willis has claimed.

When confronted with those texts, the lawyer appeared to fumble, muttering “dang” under his breath. It is possible he was caught by his own text messages, despite what he claimed under oath.

Witness testimony as well as other pieces of information suggest Willis improperly hired her romantic partner to work on this case. She paid him a six-figure salary, more than the expert prosecutor who was also working on the case.

If the court rules against Willis, she might face penalties as strict as being disbarred. It would be likely that she will be removed from the case against Trump. Trump’s legal time might even have grounds to demand a mistrial, with the charges being thrown out.

It’s unclear what might happen at this point. But things don’t look good for Willis. Many accused her of pushing unwarranted charges against the former president, just to boost her political career. Instead, she might lose everything.

Talk about Brain freeze!

WATCH: Biden’s Brain Freezes Again Mid-Speech While Trying To Attack Republicans

By Will TannerFebruary 18, 2024

In yet another awkward moment for President Joe Biden, he froze up at the podium while part of the way through a speech in which he was attacking Russia for its treatment of Navalny and Republicans for not being willing to send yet more aid to the Ukrainians.

What has happened to Navalny is yet more proof of Putin’s brutality. No one should be fooled — not in Russia, not at home, not anywhere in the world. Putin does not only target his [the] citizens of other countries, as we’ve seen what’s going on in Ukraine right now, he also inflicts terrible crimes on his own people,” Biden said during the speech, referring to the reported death of Navalny.

He continued, claiming that Navalny had virtues which Putin lacks, saying, “And as people across Russia and around the world are mourning Navalny today because he was so many things that Putin was not: He was brave. He was principled. He was dedicated to building a Russia where the rule of law existed and of — where it applied to everybody. Navalny believed in that Russia — that Russia. He knew it was a cause worth fighting for and, obviously, even dying for.

He then used that to demand yet more funding for the Ukrainians, saying, “This tragedy reminds us of the stakes of this moment. We have to provide the funding so Ukraine can keep defending itself against Putin’s vicious onslaughts and war crimes.”

Later, he was asked, “Is there anything you can do to get ammunition to the Ukrainians without the supplemental from Congress?” He responded, “No, but it’s about time they step up — don’t you think? — instead of going on a two-week vacation. Two weeks they’re walking away. Two weeks. What are they thinking? My God, this is bizarre. And it’s just reinforcing all the concern and — and almost — I won’t say “panic,” but real concern about the United States being a reliable ally. This is outrageous.”

Similarly, when asked, “Are you more confident now that you’ll get the Ukraine aid given what’s happened today?” Biden responded, “Well, I hope to God it helps. But I mean, the idea we need anything more to get the Ukraine aid — I mean, — I mean, this is — in light of a former president’s statement that — saying Russia, if — if they haven’t paid their dues to us, go get them. Come on. What are these guys doing? What are they doing?

But, amidst his attacks on Republicans for not passing the spending he wants, Biden also froze up. Watch the awkward moment here:

Biden isn’t the only aging US politician to have a brain freeze moment when speaking to reporters. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell infamously did so as well, freezing for even longer than Biden did in an extremely awkward and worrisome moment. Watch it here:
