The most delicious moment of last night’s debate was when GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney told President Obama, “Attacking me is not an agenda.”

This came after the president listed a series of disagreements he had with Romney’s own foreign policy theories. Romney continued, “Attacking me is not talking about how we’re going to deal with the challenges in the Middle East.”

Romney then addressed the president’s remarks one-by-one. Obama unsuccessfully attempted to interrupt as Romney tackled US-Russian relations.

“Russia is a geo-political foe,” he began. “Russia does continue to battle us time and time again in the U.N. I have clear eyes on this. I’m not going to wear rose-colored glasses when it comes to Russia or Mr. Putin.”

The smack-down concluded with reference to a statement the president made to Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev when he thought he was off mic. “I’m certainly not going to say to him, ‘I’ll give you more flexibility after the election.’ After the election, he’ll get more backbone.”

Twitterdom went nuts. GOP strategist Karl Rove tweeted:

Conservative pundit S.E. Cupp, along with many others, simply savored the moment by repeating the zinger — “Attacking me is not an agenda.”

To that I can only add, and “Osama bin Laden is dead” is not a foreign  policy.

Fact Check: Obama does have Chinese investments through Cayman Island trust

Barack Obama has spent an awful long time (and a ton of campaign bucks) on ramming through the idea Mitt Romney is a shadowy rich figure who sneakily invests in dark companies overseas.  This has been, perhaps, the most important and most stressed talking point of the Obama campaign; but all of that work, time, and funding may have been undone when Mitt Romney blasted Obama during this week’s Tuesday evening debate, saying, ”Mr. President, have you looked at your pension?”  He then continued…

“Let me give you some advice. Look at your pension. You also have investments in Chinese companies. You also have investments outside the United States. You also have investments through a Caymans trust.”

In fact, it seems that Barack Obama does invest in Chinese companies through a Cayman Island trust.   This information could not have come at a worse time, especially since election day is only 19 days away.  The Politifact ‘Truth-o-Meter’ says that Romney’s comments are true:

It’s an accurate set of statements when you consider investments made by managers of the Illinois pension fund in which Obama has an account.

As we noted in reviewing previous claims about Romney’s investments in China, the investments involved are indirect and — as far as anybody has said — made without the knowledge of the account holder.

With that clarification, we rate Romney’s statement Mostly True.

The President’s only defense is that …he didn’t know.  Obama certainly may not have known where the investments for his pension were based when he was in the Illinois state senate.  However, if Politifact could find out, and Mitt Romney could find out, then certainly Barack Obama could find that out as well.

This is what happens when your only campaign strategy is character assassination.  But, it’s the only strategy you’ve got when you’ve got nothing else on which to run.

On Sept. 11, scores of men with automatic weapons and RPGs launched a night assault on the U.S. compound in Benghazi, killed Ambassador Chris Stevens and set the building ablaze. Using mortars, they launched a collateral attack on a safe house, killing two more Americans, as other U.S. agents fled to the airport.

On Sept. 14, White House press secretary Jay Carney said the attack came out of a spontaneous protest caused by an anti-Muslim video on YouTube.

On Sept. 16, U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice told the entire nation the attack had not been premeditated or preplanned but emanated from a spontaneous protest of the nasty video.

On Sept. 25, Obama at the United Nations mentioned the video six times.

But when they were pushing this tale, what did the White House actually know?

For we have now learned that the assault was observed in near real time by the State Department’s Charlene Lamb, who was in contact with the security section at the Benghazi compound.

The next day, Sept. 12, Fox News and Eli Lake of the Daily Beast reported that U.S. intelligence had concluded it was terrorism. Within 24 hours of the attack, U.S. intelligence had identified some of the terrorists as members of an al-Qaida affiliate.

Thus either administration higher-ups were ignorant for more than a week of what their own agents knew, and are thus manifestly incompetent, or they colluded in a cover-up and orchestrated deception.

As the facts are revealed, the weight of evidence tilts toward the latter conclusion.

Why? Because we now know there never was any protest at the Benghazi compound – not against an anti-Muslim video or anything else.

And if there was no protest, who sent Carney out to blame the attack on the protest? And if there was no protest, who programmed Rice and put her on five separate Sunday talk shows to attribute the massacre to a protest that never happened?

If real-time intelligence and U.S. agents at the scene knew it was premeditated, preplanned terrorism by Sept. 12, who told Rice to deny specifically on Sept. 16 that the attack was premeditated or preplanned?

Indeed, why was Rice sent out at all? She is not in the chain of command. Why she accepted the assignment is obvious. She wants to be Hillary Clinton’s successor as secretary of state. But who put her up to this? Who pushed her out front to mislead us?

The CIA’s David Petraeus or Director of National Intelligence James Clapper should have been sent out to say what we knew, five days after the massacre. As Chris Stevens reported to the secretary of state and President Obama, why was Hillary or National Security Adviser Tom Donilon not sent out to explain what had happened to Stevens and the others?

Looking back, Carney and Rice appear to have been used by their superiors.

Carney would never have gone out to speculate on his own about what happened in Benghazi. His line on Sept. 14 had to have been fed to him by the White House chief of staff, Donilon, Obama or all of them.

As for Rice, someone contacted those five TV networks to put her on. And the party line she delivered – the opposite of the truth – had to have been fed to her, almost word for word – by Donilon or the chief of staff.

Could Donilon or Hillary have been in the dark about what Rice was going to say? Could they have still been in the dark about what had happened five days before in Benghazi, when Hillary’s own deputy Charlene Lamb had followed the terrorist attack in near real time?

Hillary and the entire Obama national security team are in that famous photo with Obama watching SEAL Team Six in Abbottabad when Osama bin Laden was taken down.

Was the National Security Council alerted by Lamb when she was observing the attack in near real time? Did the NSC also observe?

Was the president told by the NSC that we were getting real-time intel and video from Benghazi, and would he like to see?

There is an even more fundamental question:

Why did the White House persist with the phony story of a protest against a video being the cause of Ambassador Stevens’ death, when they had to know there was no protest?

The most plausible explanation is that the truth – we were being hit with the worst terror attack since 9/11 in a city we saved – would have exposed Obama’s boasting about his Libya triumph and al-Qaida being “on the run” and “on the path to defeat” as absurd propaganda.

Al-Qaida is now in Libya, Mali, Yemen, Syria, Iraq and Pakistan.

And the epidemic of anti-American riots across the Muslim world, with Arab Spring elections bringing to power Islamist regimes, testify to the real truth. After four years of Obama, it is America that is on the run in the Middle East.

But we can’t let folks find that out until after Nov. 6.

Hence the Benghazi cover-up.

As I pointed out in a previous article,we are NOT a Democracy…we are a Constitutional Republic. Over the past few decades, the group of elites in Washington have operated the United States as if we were a Democracy. Do they not understand the US Constitution, or have they just not taken the time to read it? It would not be a shock if they haven’t read it as they don’t read anything anymore before they pass it.

This group of elitists have forgotten that it is “We the People” who hired them. Now it is time that “We the People” fire them! When things get so bad that they can’t even pass a budget on behalf of the people, they simply are not doing their jobs. They have become too comfortable in the shining city on the hill while the rest of America suffers.

We currently have a usurper and a Communist regime in the White house that could care less about America and her people. They have allowed a Muslim infiltration into every aspect of government. We have at least 75 members of Congress who are members of the Democratic Socialists of America. We currently have a group of RINOS (Republicans in name only) holding prominent positions in Congress. In fact, the majority of Congress has been infected by the “progressive” disease. Our Judiciary has been overrun with socialist liberals to a point where the will of the people can now be overridden by a judge’s order.

This is not the Republic that our founders envisioned any longer; this is a three-ring circus for which we the people are footing the bill. While the Presidential race may be the most important of our lives, the Congressional races are just as important. We MUST vote out those who think they can rule over us and replace them with those who know the Constitution, and most importantly, know that WE are their boss. It’s time to take out the trash, America! As always, stay safe and be aware of your surroundings.

Where do we begin? So many deaths and so many lies…

Let’s start with the most recent one, shall we? Barack Hussein Obama deliberately and unconstitutionally attacked Libya with air strikes during the Arab spring, which he touted as the greatest outbreak of Democracy that he had ever seen. Many people lost their lives as a result of these airstrikes, as well as the Libyan leader. He may have been a mad man, but at least he helped keep the Middle East stable. After ordering US weapons to be given to the rebels, America finds out that some of the rebels are members of some of the more popular terrorist groups. The result of all of this “help” that the Obama regime gave to the rebels? Our consulate was attacked, and our US ambassador and three aides were murdered. Also, the Ambassador was sodomized before his death. Upon learning of this news, Obama didn’t change his plans a bit. He continued to his next campaign stop in Las Vegas and went about his plans with Jay-Z and Beyonce. Shortly after, in the midst of the fallout from this terrorist attack (yes, I said it), he still found time to go on David Letterman’s show. For the first three weeks of the fallout, Obama blamed some little-known video for the attack and then went before the United Nations and blamed OUR first amendment right to free speech for the Muslim outrage.

Now let’s move on to “Fast and Furious”. Obama and Eric Holder were funneling guns into Mexico to the drug cartels for reasons that are still unknown to the American people. The Mexican government was never made aware of such an operation. Hundreds of Mexican citizens were killed as well as one of our border patrol officers.  Once the Congressional investigation started, Obama invoked executive order protection for himself and Eric Holder, and still, there are no answers.

Last but not least, we have the Ft. Hood, Texas terrorist attack (yup, I said it again), where Doctor Nidal Hassan opened fire on unarmed military troops while yelling out Arabic praises to Allah. When Obama found out about the shooting, America had to wait until he gave a “shout out” to a Native American medicine man before he would comment. Incidentally, Obama and his Department of Homeland Security deemed the Ft. Hood murders as “workplace violence”.

Barack Hussein Obama is now running for a second term in office as the most powerful man in the world. If he wins, how many more will die? What he has done in his first term clearly constitutes TREASON! Giving aid and comfort to our enemies is punishable under the United States Constitution by as high of a sentence as DEATH! Our complacent military leaders and campaign donation-hungry politicians need to get busy and do the job that WE THE PEOPLE have called on them to do. Barack Hussein Obama is a CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER to America and must be dealt with accordingly and IMMEDIATELY. As always, my fellow Patriots, stay safe and be aware of your surroundings.

One of the things which has amazed me since I closely followed my first Presidential election (Kennedy-Nixon when I was 8 years old) is how little American voters understand the legislative process and how silly it sounds when a Presidential candidate talks about “his” plan for taxes and the economy.

The fact is that without fully compliant, veto-proof majorities in both the House and the Senate, NO president can do squat.  (And, even when a President has that, as Obama did from 2009-10, he often still can’t do squat.)

They can make deals, they can use their bully pulpits, they can make executive policy from the oval office, but they can only sign or veto legislation presented to them when it comes to changing the tax code; and they can only do the same when it comes to entitlements.

Actual tax policy and entitlement policy is the sole province of Congress, with the APPROVAL of the President..

So, when Barack Obama says that he gave us a middle class tax cut, when he really means is that he signed a compromise bill—negotiated in a lame duck session of Congress—to keep the Bush era (not the Bush) tax cuts in place for another two years.

And when gaffmaster Joe Biden says that they want to raise taxes on the super wealthy by not extending those cuts, he’s right.  But, if those tax cuts do expire due to the lack of a deal in Congress or of a Presidential signature, expect the middle class to pay the bulk of the new taxes because there are vastly more middle-class taxpayers than upper-class taxpayers.

In short, a Presidential candidate’s promises as they relate to the tax code, tax policy, or entitlements are worth even less than the air it takes to make the sound.

Here’s what a President CAN do:

A President can tell his administration—the Executive branch of government—that it WILL approve an energy policy that encourages drilling in the continental United States and under our surrounding waters.

A President can approve the Keystone XL Pipeline so that oil produced in Canada can be consumed in the United States as opposed to China.

A President can stop the Environmental Protection Administration’s jihad against coal as an electricity-generating plant fuel, thus reducing our electrical bills.

A President can remove obstacles to natural gas production, again reducing our electrical bills.

A President can stop health insurance regulations that will bankrupt small businesses and force large ones to stop offering health insurance to their employees.

And a President can tell our friends that we will support them and our enemies; we will kill them if they attack us, and a President should know the difference between our friends and enemies.

Any or all of those actions would have an instant, positive effect.  It seems that Obama is against them all, and Mitt Romney has promised them all.  But all Obama wants to talk about is tax policy. Taxing the rich.  Not only can he not do it; it won’t work if he could for a myriad of reasons, starting with the fact that there are a lot more middle-class taxpayers than ultra-rich taxpayers.

If you are worried about the economy, the tax code is not the place to start.

Presidents—especially ones who have not insisted that Congress pass a budget for the bulk of his term—have, as we have seen, very little positive effect on the economy.

But if the President were to concentrate on our energy policy and the massive effects the correct energy policy would have on our relationships in the Middle East, the economy might take care of itself.

Energy is a bigger tax on the middle class than taxes themselves.

Many of the problems we face today are indeed solvable by a President who understands what it is he can do and, more importantly, what it is that he simply cannot do.
