I like it, JADE!! Big Will's I, Robot. You know, this proposition has its' pro's and cons just like anything else designed to make things better in general. However, since I am frequently surrounded with successful business people, I understand that it's a conglomoration of the business owner's ability to pay, the MARKET, and skill/education level of employees that should really be making the call when it comes to shelling out the funds. That said, since 1973 wages have become completely stagnant for workers while production has actually grown to 80%+ and I see a problem there. Sure, the minimum wage isn't designed to actually make a life for an individual but, rather to generate income to merely survive...barely.

By design, that wage is SUPPOSED to be uncomfortable in order to motivate a person to want and do better for themselves...a desire to earn more. It's actually geared more for high school and maybe college students or those looking for simple part-time work to make ends meet, okay. You're not gonna pay for a nice apartment, let alone a house, with such a wage and even $15/hr. won't afford anyone to do it either. Still, with the rise in cost of most EVERYTHING under the sun it just seems reasonable that an increase in across-the-board wages is in order. Now, mind you, this doesn't come all in one shot. The proposal is meant to happen over like a four year span. Back in the day like in the 80's, anyone makin' +-$12/hr was doing pretty freakin' well for themselves but, that's 30+ years ago, too!!!

There are businesses that have already adapted the full $15/hr. and are doing well but, they have well-managed business models, too. The cons to such increases are higher food prices among other things but, apparently, it's doable. Good entry, JADE!!!!
