Every single year, there is a surplus in Social Security and the Transportation fund. The surplus is suppose to be in a trust fund. Don't remember when it began, but I think it is around last 40 years, they have been raiding both of the trust funds. The voting citizens, both Democrats, Republicans and Independents don't pay enough attention to the people we elect to Congress. We need to wake up!!!

I agree Carbob. I will be cringing on when and not if our government starts dipping into our 401k, IRA'S etc. I wouldn't put it past the government to implement a Cadillac type tax on Roth IRA's .

Senator McConnell apparently thinks that he runs Washington DC. He is a Control Freak and Power Hungry !!! He has been in office too long. It is time to REMOVE Senator McConnell from political office PERMANENTLY !!!

You absolutely correct destiny creation. This is why there needs to be term limits. We have way too many career politicians in office now with the possibility of another one (Clinton) this fall.
