Part of security screening at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York. The investigation of TSA officers at Puerto Rico’s San Juan airport was initiated by TSA, officials said, as part of the agency’s effort to “address employee misconduct and specific insider threat vulnerabilities,” said Jose Baquero, federal security director for Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Twelve current and former TSA agents and airport workers have been indicted by a federal grand jury in Puerto Rico for taking part in a conspiracy to smuggle tons of cocaine through the airport in San Juan, the U.S. Attorney for the District of Puerto Rico said Monday.

Has been going on a longtime. Corruption from insider crews can be reduced (but not likely stopped) by increased vetting including FBI background & polygraph as we did in the military. Perhaps Trump can get the unreliable TSA privatized thus improving quality control over performance & personnel thus eliminating affirmative action factor.

Aye Sully-

"When you see that trading is done not by consent, but by compulsion.

When you see that in order to produce, you need to obtain permission from men who produce nothing.

When you see money flowing to those who deal, not in goods, but in favors.

When you see that men get richer by graft and pull, than by work and your laws don't protect you against them, but protect them against you.

When you see corruption being rewarded and honesty becoming self-sacrifice,

you may know that your society is doomed"

I've seen too many articles about various TSA criminal activities. Glad they're finally taking action.

We won't be able to trust any govt. agency for at least another 12 to 18 months.
