  Kansas Hot Lotto

Hot Lotto

I went my Post Office Box before going to work this morning and so please to find two envelopes to me and I KNEW what they were!

Marjorie, a co-worker was going to Kansas for Thanksgiving.  Her last day in the office was on Tuesday before Thanksgiving.  I gave Margie a detail letter with two self-address stamp envelopes.  One of the envelopes, I had written Die Hard on it.

I told Margie that I needed two Hot Lotto tickets for 15 draws ($30.00) and two PowerBall tickets for 15 draws another $30.00.  I duplicated that same format for my own tickets.

I gave here $120.00 ($60.00 for Die Hard and $60 for myself).  I explained to her that when she purchased the tickets, she would need to put a Power Ball and Hot Lotto ticket in each envelope.

I do this, so I don’t have to make any decisions when they arrive at my Post Office Box.  It would not be fair if I had a chance to check the tickets before assigning them their owners.  (I do this same thing every month or so, with my Mother for our PowerBall tickets.)

Now I was very please when I opened the envelopes because Margie now only included the tickets, but the play slips and receipt as well!

The tickets are good for 15 draws.

Here are you numbers:

            27 31 33 34 38  Hot Ball 03

For Wednesday’s drawing the Jack Pot is at $14,830,000.00.  The Cash Option is worth $8,890,000.00.

With 16 of us playing we are looking at $926,875.00

You know this is before any attorney’s fees, taxes or tithes.

I copied this direct from www.kslottery.com:

Jackpot Prizes:

You have 60 days from the date your winning ticket is validated and claimed to choose the cash or annuity option. If you don't choose an option within 60 days, your prize will be paid as an annuity. Federal (25 percent) and state (5 percent) taxes are mandatorily withheld before the prize is paid. Your ultimate tax liability may be more or less than the amounts withheld.

Annuity - You will receive your prize in graduated payments over the next 29 years (30 payments), less taxes. The jackpot amount advertised by the Lottery is the annuitized amount.

Cash - You will collect your prize in one payment, less taxes. The lump sum cash payment is the amount available to the Lottery for the jackpot prize pool. It is approximately half the estimated 29-year (30 payments) annuity option jackpot, depending on current interest rates. This dollar amount represents the same amount of money the Lottery would have invested in a 29-year (30 payments) annuity.

Prize Expiration:

Online tickets - You have 365 days from the drawing date on your ticket to claim your prize.

Instant tickets - see the list of expired instant games to find the expiration date for that game.

  PowerBall

Power Ball

You know that I have PowerBall tickets now, and I’m excited.  But, I still haven’t gotten the tickets from my mother, so you are getting three more lines in this game, besides the ones you see here.

Other Information

You may get another update tomorrow, if I have time to go to my Post Office Box before going to work and we get more tickets.  However, I’ve been up since 5:00 a.m. doing laundry. (I’m doing four loads of colors).  So, I may run out of time.  I still need to eat breakfast, and take a shower and would need to be at the bus stop by 10:15 a.m.  So maybe, just maybe, you will get copies of three more Power Ball tickets.

I want to thank everyone for paying their dues early, I showed everyone paid for November, except for two people.  There not late, because their money is not due until Thursday November 30th, 2006.

"Guess Which One I'm Going to Marry"

A young Jewish man excitedly tells his mother he's fallen in love and that he is going to get married. He says, "Just for fun, Ma, I'm going to bring over three women and you try and guess which one I'm going to marry."

The mother agrees.

The next day, he brings three beautiful women into the house and sits them down on the couch and they chat for a while. He then says, "Okay, Ma, guess which one I'm going to marry."

She immediately replies, "The one on the right."

"That's amazing, Ma. You're right. How did you know?"

The Jewish mother replies, "I don't like her."
