Cash Five

You had no wins on our one and only Cash Five ticket and it expired after the drawing on November 28th, 2006.

I was not able to buy any more tickets for this game, because two people have not paid their November dues.

Texas Two-Step

Now, I really wish everyone had paid there dues, because this game is now at $1 Million.  I love it when Die Hard gets to $1 Million.  I always overspend when this happens, but you never know, I could win.

Lotto Texas

We won nothing in this game.  (My Lotto Texas Lotto Pool won nothing either.)  The good news is that no one won the Jack Pot.

Hot Lotto

I had a devil of a time finding a web site where I could check our tickets.  Right now, I’m using Washington, D.C. web site, but I may keep looking.

As I was typing in our two numbers I kept thinking we had won.  Well, want I was seeing was we matched one number – and that doesn’t make us winners.

The tickets are good for 15 draws.

Here are you numbers:

So far we have won nothing, but the Jack Pot for Saturday, December 2nd, 2006 is now at $15,140,000.00.  The Cash Option is at $9,800,000.00

With 16 of us playing we are looking at $612,500.00.  I realized his is lower than last time, but I used the wrong figure for pay out.  I didn’t use Cash Option. You know this is before any attorney’s fees, taxes or tithes.

Power Ball

Mother wrote me and told me she mailed the groups tickets on Wednesday.  I did check the Post Office Box today, but only got a check from Juanita Brown, nothing else.

But, I am sure I order us 3 lines for $45.00.  And I know that we were in Wednesday’s drawing and will be tomorrow night’s drawing, too.

Powerball Jackpot Won in North Carolina!
25 Tickets Win $200,000 to $600,000 Each!

Powerball paid off in BIG ways on November 29th.  One lucky ticket in North   Carolina matched all 6 numbers and walked away with the $74.5 million jackpot.  The holder of the winning ticket sold at Shell Travel World, I-95 and 903, Halifax, NC, will now have to decide to either take the 29-year, 30-installment annuity, or the one time cash “lump sum” amount of $36,071,688.

An incredible 17 tickets correctly matched the 5 white numbers and won $200,000. These tickets were sold in Colorado (1), Connecticut (3), Indiana (2), Louisiana (2), Minnesota (1), Missouri (2), North Carolina (1), New   Hampshire (1), Pennsylvania (1), Rhode Island (2), and Tennessee (1).

I have to work tomorrow, and I’m not certain that I will be able to stop by the Post Office to check mail.  But, I will make the attempt.  I will be going by the Post Office for sure on Sunday morning before going to work.

Other Information

I’m sorry; I was not able to buy us more tickets today.  But, I only collected $140.00 of the $160.00 I needed to buy tickets. I’ve not heard from either party as to whether they want to continue to play or not, so I’m assuming that I’ve lost two players.

Not, I’m not in a position to start a new Die Hard game.  I’m doing four games right now, and starting a new Die Hard game would mean 5 newsletters.

Now, I have heard from two more people who live out of state, who want to play in some (or all) of my pools.  One of the men lives in West Virginia, and if he wants to play in Die Hard, I will not object.  Maybe I can continue to keep Hot Lotto in this game.

Your $10.00 is due on or before Sunday December 31st, 2006

What is Love?

Slow down for three minutes to read this. It is so worth it. Touching words from the mouth of babes.  What does Love mean? A group o f professional people posed this question to a group of 4 to 8 year-olds, "What does love mean?" The answers they got were broader and deeper than anyone could have imagined See what you think:

"When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint her toe nails anymore. So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That's love."

Rebecca- age 8

And the final one -- Author and lecturer Leo Buscaglia once talked about a contest he was asked to judge. The purpose of the contest was to find the most caring child.

The winner was a four year old child whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman who had recently lost his wife.

Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman's yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there.

When his Mother asked what he had said to the neighbor, the little boy said, "Nothing, I just helped him cry"

_____

When you find out that there is nothing more important than what goes on between one another then you have love. Love is all you need.
