Some rules will help us out. Certainly pick 4 exotics are NOT LIKELY to pay out as frequently as say consecutives like 1234,4567, etc. If you have 5 dollars to play fluff would say to pick no-match like 254 and consecutives like 345 and a boxed hit is more likely. If you are a player looking for patterns and you know some stuff about the workings of your state lottery, then maybe you want to go for an exotic if you see something in the pattern. Lottery sharks know this stuff like 8888 possibly coming in in NY pick 4 on fri and put some HEAVY BETS IN PLACE! When this number comes in in NY there will be some big pots collected, like 10k,20k,50k and like that. But you have to be willing to put a lot of bucks in and hope they come back to you.Playing 4k a month with no idea and a low prize ratio and hit ratio is not ideal. If you are not collecting then you have to look at what you are doing, or invest elsewhere.
