Comment on the Mystical
Published:
The Mystical forum can be entertaining and a fun place to go, but no offense to anyone who may do this, BUT...
About 99% of the threads are someone asking for numbers from a dream, usually from one of those dream books. (Ever thought about why dream books don't have the same numbers for the same dream?).
There have been people ask where to get those books, and people have posted the sources. Yet the same people ask for numbers fro dream after dream.
Hello, figuring you are actually playing the numbers someone else bothers to post for you - do that four or five times and you could have bought your own book, or if the number hit and you played it, triple shame on you for still asking for numbers, you could have bought fifty books.
No one want to spring and buy a paper, yet when someone shows up with one people want to know their horoscope. I pulled this one on somebody like that one time:
"Oh, what's my horoscope?
"What's your sign?"
"Aries."
"Aries, you are one cheap individual who has not bought a newspaper since 1983 yet you want to know your horoscope everytime someone else has a newpaper. Spring for the 50 cents."
"Does it really say that?"
(I'm not kidding, she really asked that - the whole break room was roaring).

YMMV.
There's a lot more that could be being siscussed there, but for the most part it's a "what's the number for my dream" forum.
Tell you what, I'll make you a wager, I'll pay you a buck for every non-number request if you'll pay me a buck for every number request.

When fantasy teams became popular, people would want the sports page to look up box scores and stats. Some of these people had paid $50- $300 for a team, but wouldn;t spring for the (then) 50 cents for the USA Today.
Get it?
If not, cheers.
I started this entry tongue in cheek and as an actual observation, but if your sense of humor is that lacking, you're the loser, no one else.
This isn;t the only board I'm on, I admin on another one. Perhaps you should consider making "Dream Numbers" a sub-forum of Mystical.
On our board we wouldn't create a forum category of "Current Events" and let it go with 99 % cake recipes or something.
SHEESH.
There is nothing "tongue-in-cheek" about your comments. You yourself said "NO OFFENSE, BUT...." One does not start a "tongue-in-cheek" comment with words like that.
You can't revise history, but what you could have done is apologize to those you unfairly criticized.
Now you start name-calling by telling me "you're the loser". And to tell me that I'm the only one who feels this way is utterly clueless. As someone who claims to be an "admin" on another board, you'd think you would have learned that not everyone thinks and feels the same way you do. Or maybe your other board isn't all that diverse and you have not been exposed to that concept.
You can create a "Current Events" forum on your site, but the last thing I need is to be told by you how to run mine.

A discussion board is place to share and swap info.
People coming here and seeing mystical would expect to to find info on everything from ESP to numerology. That's not what they find.
If you think a comment about a valid observation calls for an apology I'm not the one who is "hypersensitive." I'll be "dipped in grits" if I'm going to apologize to legions who will shell out shekels for pick 3's and not buy their own #$% @#^& dream books.
The 'bet' still stands, $1 from me to you for every non-dream request in Nystical if you agree to $1 from you to me for every dream request in Mystical.
