Funny about that; I just posted this as a goof after seeing it in one of my sample sites recipes for the day. It was among other recipes like Fudge Truffle Cheesecake, Bourbon Chicken, Cranberry Feta Pinwheels, etc. and just looked out of place. I wasn't making fun of the recipe ingredients (although it's pretty swanky to include cheese! - wink- ) but the recipe itself. I didn't think something like this actually NEEDED a recipe. Then again, I once saw a recipe for frozen grapes on The Food Network website.

I posted it, then laid down, was way past my bedtime, but no sooner than my head hit the pillow,my stomach started growling...and all I could think of was one of those "horse **** sandwiches" as we used to call them. I try to not eat TOO much processed meat and didn't have any baloney in the fridge, although after scrounging in my "iron rations" I found a can of Armour Treet that had been on sale a few months ago. "Close enough." I thought, then realized I didn't have any bread OR mayo.

The craving is over, thank goodness.

The ingredients are only missing some BBQ chips between the bread and bologna. The thicker the slice the better they are.

I've known people who liked to do that w/ their sandwiches, notmyday. I prefer mine on the side, but whatever floats someone's boat. I don't like pickles on my burgers, but on the side.

Some of the biggest arguments I've ever seen online were not about politics or religion, but about food. The first savage attack on me, in fact, was after I said I didn't like pineapple, but it's because I'm slightly allergic to most citrus fruits, even oranges and esp. those delicious kiwi fruits...they make my throat itch. The worst fights were about beans in chili (I don't put beans in my chili, but like chili in my beans, go figger) and whether goulash can be called goulash unless it has paprika in it.

Thanks to you both for commenting.

We use to make chili in a apartment complex they had a cookout once a month and the best pot of chili would win a free months rent I won twice while living there. I used flank steak cut in in small strips and soaked it in Worchester sauce the night before and I used 3 different beans.

Some people in Texas get offended by the mere suggestion of beans in chili, but I don't care what you call something; if it's delicious, just don't call me late for supper!

Even though I prefer the texture of ground beef chili, yours sounds nice and I'd eat it and not complain. If I didn't like it, I'd choke it down and not say a word, but if I DID like it, I'd ask for seconds, maybe thirds!

I once saw a YouTube video about making some exotic Chinese dish and thankfully it had translation captions, but nearly all the comments were in Chinese. Of course I couldn't read them, so I opened up another tab to Google translate and all those commenting were arguing about the silliest things - one spat was about the sesame seed oil, with some saying it shouldn't be used, others saying it belongs, but there was too much and those arguing with that bunch that it wasn't enough!
