Tip 1: Become A Student of the Game

Published:

The best way to gain knowledge about any subject is to study, study, study.  The same is true for playing the lottery, particularly Pick 3 and Pick 4.  You're going to need a tablet, binder, or file of some kind to keep your lottery journals in for future reference.  Every piece of information you record on those pages will become invaluable in your toolbox.

Believe it or not, playing the lottery is an investment.  And like all investments, there is risk and reward.  It takes time, patience, and perseverance to be able to put what you learn into action that will put money in your pocket more consistently, but it can be done.  However, no plan of action is going to guarantee you wins all the time.  If you see one that does, run (don't walk) in the other direction.  It's probably a scam that wishes to separate you from your money while making empty promises.  The reason you're playing in the first place is to put money in your pocket, not throw it away.  So you have to be careful as well as smart when it comes to how you invest your money.

That brings me to this point.  Quick picks are perhaps the biggest scam there is.  Sure, people do win with them occasionally.  But you have to have more luck than a field full of four-leaf clovers!  Relying solely on luck is a poor way to invest in anything.  You need to have a plan and to do so effectively, you have to do your research.  Stockpiling information is the easiest way to compile data from which to study.  Check this out.

Here on Lottery Post, Gold and Platinum Memberships allow the users to research a number using the VTRACs Search Engine.  You choose the state(s) that you wish to perform the search for and set the parameters to your satisfaction.  Once you've pulled up all the information, you can also find here on Lottery Post, every Pick 3 and Pick 4 result from all drawings https://www.lotterypost.com/vtracs/results

For those who may not be familiar with what a VTRAC is, it is simply a variable tracking system used as another way of identifying the digits used in the Pick 3 and Pick 4 games (0-9).  They are listed as follows:

VTRAC # Draw Digit
1 0 or 5
2 1 or 6
3 2 or 7
4 3 or 8
5 4 or 9

So, when you need to do a search at Lottery Post, you just go to https://www.lotterypost.com/vtracs, set your parameters, and follow the instructions.  The VTRAC for every draw is already listed atop each draw.  FYI, Lottery Post is the only site I've seen that has the results of Pick 3 and Pick 4 along with their VTRACs conveniently located on one page.  That in itself is a a valuable tool to have at your disposal.

Now that you've performed your search, go down the list and distract the data that you are going to use.  Let's use the Georgia Midday 3 from Thursday, October 11, 2018 as an example.  The draw result was 871.

1.  Go to the VTRACs Search Engine and select Georgia Cash 3 Midday.  Click continue.

2.  Enter the VTRAC number. In this case 432.  There is also the option to choose all singles, all doubles, or all triples.

3.  Choose the option to (a) match the VTRAC straight (in the exact position) or (b) match the VTRAC boxed (any position).  I always like to see the VTRAC straight.

4.  Choose how many results you would like to view per page.  I prefer to use 100 for this setting so I can get as many on one page as possible.

5.  Choose the date range.  I always use the all available history option.  This way, you'll have a larger, more complete pool to observe.

6. Click search.  Your results are on the next screen.

7.  I recommend going down that list and jotting down the dates that produced only the exact draw number.  So in this case, I'm only interested in the dates that produced 871.  You can use the information however you choose, but these are my recommendations.  You can use as few, as many, or all of the results if that is your choice also.  I recommend using them all.  You never know what you will learn from a draw that fell 20 years ago until you've thoroughly examined it.

8.  After you've compiled your list, go to the results at https://www.lotterypost.com/results and select your lottery.

9.  Find the dates that you have written down on your list.  I recommend writing down the draw that fell the day after.  Here is how my search for 871 went.

Date Number Searched Result
Thur 10/11/18 871 ???
Mon 5/7/18 871 211
Tue 11/7/17 871 626
Sun 3/5/17 871 340
Thur 1/26/17 871 139
Thur 10/6/16 871 034
Tue 5/4/99 871 392
Fri 11/19/99 871 837

10.  There were 7 results that matched my criteria.  Now, look for connections or patterns.  Try to see if the results have anything in common.  I highlighted the number 3 in red font to show that 5/7 of the draws had the number 3 in them. That tells me that there is a 71% chance that the next draw is going to contain a 3 in it.  I like those odds!

I also notice that 3/7 of the time a 1 (or its mirror 6) fell. That's 43%.  Not as impressive as with the digit 3, but not bad odds either.  At this point, I figure either a 13x pair or a 63 x pair is going to fall next.

11.  You can stop there and be satisfied with what you've found, but I recommend searching even further.  Utilize the charts on Lottery Post at https://www.lotterypost.com/charts/pick3 to help you further.  Analyze pairs to see what is more likely to fall with the 3.  This might also help you determine positions for each digit, thereby increasing your chances for a decent ROI (return on investment).  If you can figure out the position of just one digit, that leaves only two positions for the other two.  Whatever you do, pay attention to even the smallest detail.

The number 133 fell!

12.  Keep thorough notes in your journal so you will have reference points and pertinent information.

Well, that's it for this posting.  I hope that you will find this tip and at least some of my recommendations useful to you as a means to improving your profits playing Pick 3 and Pick 4.  Best of luck to you, but with more knowledge, hopefully you won't have to solely rely on it for your wins.  Be blessed!
