Server down again...

Published:

... for a while anyway.

Isolated the problem to a failure of the system board's hard drive hardware.

Lost one of the dual drives in a Raid 0 config; a connection or a power problem.

Reconfiguring to two separate volumes: operating system and data.

Was equally divided before, just never had separate drives, only partitioned.

Glad thing we have image backups to work from; techy stuff, gotta love it.

Anyway, we have 9 other systems to work with and swap/reload the server operating system with an older win xp system.

Splittin' those two up this go around and making separate volumes with image backups of both so it make easier to recover from the backup image.

Nice to have extra non-networked, unconnected systems; keep 'em out of harms way, as long as we don't load from other potential affected sources.

Cool

Sorry, thought you had a bug a boo, not a hardware issue. Server monkey has great prices on refurbished servers etc..
