Container garden
Published:
Squash plants all went to he!!, The Siberian tomato plant flowered about a week or so ago plus it has a couple tomatoes showing about the size of a pea. See if the Siberian tomato plant produces like they claim with temps in the high 30s at night. The Swiss chard looks like it is growing well. The radishes look like they are not doing well. Took off the wire cages on the five gallon buckets and most of the wooden containers. May not do five gallon buckets next year.
The flowers on the Shepherds pole in front yard are doing well. Perked up quite a bit with the cooler weather. The violas in the wooden container with the pansy in the center is doing well, growing and flowering out nicely.
The flower plants and the one Rosemary plant in the 2 1/2 gallon pails are doing well. May decide to cut and let dry the Rosemary stems and leaves. I have been using crushed Rosemary for my daily Rosemary tea. Take the Rosemary after it dries and crush it up for my tea. I prefer to make my Rosemary tea using the dried crushed Rosemary.
Was thinking about doing a potted rose plant with the extra container mix from the five gallon pails. Maybe purchase a nice looking container for it.
Not planning on doing many summer vegetables plants next years. Maybe a spring garden of Swiss chard and lettuce. Then one or two cherry tomato plants for the summer garden. I will decide that next year.
Put in more flowers next year.
