Rand had an interesting political philosophy and while those and other quotes by her were brilliant, I found her books to be hard to read, but I was probably too young at the time to appreciate them.   She was, and still is a polarizing figure and it seems to me her writing appeals more to libertarians than conservatives, but there's a lot that many conservatives admire about it. Leftists despise her philosophy of Objectivism b/c it's about reality, reason, self-interest, and capitalism.

Good post and quotes.

I have the two Atlas Shrugged movies, but just haven't got around to watching them.
