The True definition of Random Selection and Prediction

Before I start, I'd like to say a few things that relate to what is to be said. First, this is not a debate. I'm telling you what I know and think for your benefit and information. You can use this in any way you'd like or you can completely ignore it. Second, I'm not seeking your approval or disapproval. Your approval or disapproval is self serving and works to your advantage the best. Third, there are a few mind slate clearing erasures that need to be explained. One is, Random Selection has no prerequisites. The other is, Prediction has no predefined methodology.

These definitions will relate to lottery oriented material; meaning it is of the subjects in combinatorial set, permutaional set and combninatoric permutation set theory. Combinatiorial sets are the standard Pick 5 or Pick 6 lotteries with no bonus ball. Permutational sets are the Daily Pick 3 and Daily Pick 4 lotteries. Combinatoric permutation sets are the Powerball and Mega Millions lotteries.

Random Selection, I've seen many attempts to try and define this. In almost every case, there are exceptions and overly worded explanations of Random Selection. I tend to gravitate toward the simplest explanation without exception. Here is the simplest definition of Random Selection:

Random Selection - The instantaneous sample of chaos.

Well, there it is, simple, sweet and to the point.

Prediction, here too I've seen a lot of those who'd like to define it. Here is the simplest definition of Prediction:

Prediction - Any method of selection before and related to the instantaneous moment of random selection.

Any method of selection can be of the following: Quick Pick, Analysis of previous selections, Birth dates, Mythology, License Plates, Statistical models, etc. When someone goes up to the store clerk and asks for a set of numbers regardless of how they decide to pick the numbers IS A PREDICTION. In essence, that is what a person is doing, they are betting on their set of numbers and saying that 'I predict these numbers will occur' every time, every purchase for every person.
