Raquel Welch was once considered for the role of Ginger; I don't remember why she didn't get the part, but Jayne Mansfield was also offered the part but turned it down. Tina Louise, the actress that played Ginger, claimed the role ruined her career and did not appear in any of the later made-for-TV movies.

I believe she and Wells are the only two surviving members of the cast.
