I've been watching that; have yet to watch E#3 that aired just the other night but I am enjoying it.

I've read that some conservatives websites/blogs are objecting to it because it's "propaganda" against nuclear energy. I am usually sensitive to any hint of leftist messages in a storyline, but I do not see it as that. To me, it ,it's just the tale of how the Russians tried to cover up the disaster (and the officials trying to CYA) and the ineptness of Soviet engineers and the flaws in both Soviet ideology and technology.

We've watched all three up till now.

Initially we thought this would be a Socialist and Anti-Nuclear showcase.

However, we found it to be very informative and insightful.

This goes in to the very essence of why Totalitarian Government control is a very bad idea; in practice.

We know the powers that wish to be are not liking this show, because it puts Socialism in a bad blue light.

How we know?

Well, in the play up to the miniseries we saw a lot of pre-show commercials played before the G.O.T. episodes promoting the miniseries; in addition to others.

After the show began to air, we saw less and less promotion of the show.

Seems the show was giving a less than favorable view of Socialism in action.

Death to the commies!

I haven't seen her in a lot of things, but I'll watch Emily Watson in just about anything. The first time I ever remember seeing her in something was in '02's "Red Dragon" one of/or? the first of the Hannibal Lecter movies/books. She's not gorgeous, but I find her incredibly sexy.

I never could get into GoT; watched the first one, then decided it wasn't going to be my cuppa, but have had second thoughts since then and might buy the box set when it comes out...or a while after, so it will be cheaper. I read a couple of weeks ago that the Internet was all butt hurt because a Starbucks cup was in one of the scenes...and there were conspiracy theories and accusations over that...and now I've been reading snippets that people are really up-in-arms over the ending.

We have a resident leftist in here, a woman who hates Trump who used to compare him to some ruthless killer on GoT (forget which and that doesn't narrow it down much, does it? <grin>) in her signature line in posts.   TDS everywhere, huh?
