Container garden [squash a failure]
Published:
I was out this morning to hand pollinate. the female flowers were not open to pollinate. I snapped off three off the female flowers that had end rot and found two of them to have a larvae in the little squash.
Done some checking when I came in and it looks like I am also not getting enough sunlight on the plants. The plants are tall and lanky.
Now to decide what to do. Rip them up and plant something else. Flowers do well back there with the limited amount of sunshine.
Or buy a chainsaw and do some tree removal.
Cheaper to go to the market and buy the squash when I want some.
