The Leftists Are Ruining Fruit For Me

First it was "progressive" sex education showing kids how to use a condom by putting it on a banana, then it was apples w/ the apple pie scene in American Pie, now it's watermelon.

I hate to think what they'll do with peaches.

The human species was designed in the beginning for the female to come into estrus often to populate the planet.
With the population at the level it is at right now frequent estrus has turned into a disadvantage in the human species.

I'm not sure I follow you, JAP. Are you saying we need abortion b/c of overpopulation? If so, then I don't think that's the case, at least not here in America. The U.S. birthrate is on a declining trend, has been for four/five years and it's below the level needed to sustain our numbers.

I am not pro abortion.
I am pointing out the fact of the world population growth of the human species because of the estrus cycle.

Still not sure what that has to do with my post, but thanks for your comments.

I should elaborate that I am one of the worst about going off topic and I'm not saying that's what you did, just that I don't understand. Maybe it's a brain fart today or early senility. <grin>

I know that the age of puberty and beginning menses in girls has been decreasing fora long time, thanks to hormones used in meat production as well as them being in our drinking water...no way to filter them out. There might even be more environmental factors, such as the increased use of soy in our food products.

Maybe it's the left's cobbled together way of talking about birth control. I however can't wrap my mind around their thinking processes.

That, is not taking fruit to a higher level. It's taking fruit and destroying the vision and Taste.

Hey, I like off topic, keeps things interesting.   I was just trying to figure out the relationship between the two and it was driving me nuts, frustrating me.   I didn't mean to come across as hateful.

Ever had watermelon rind pickles? They're great.    A fad back when I was a kid was to take a watermelon, cut a plug out of it and then pour a bottle of vodka into it. I always thought that a waste of both watermelon AND vodka.   We raided a watermelon patch on our way to work early one morning, ate so much watermelon we were sick and our derrick hand climbed up to the crown and we raised a sack full of watermelons up to him and watched him thrown them off. There was nothing left of them after they hit the ground, just bits of green rind and red flesh.

That's off topic. <grin>

Now every time I eat watermelon and spit the seed out I will think of an abortion.

The point of my original post was if women did not get pregnant as often as they could there would be less need for an abortion.

My pop used to tell me before I slept with a woman, I should ask myself "Would I want to marry her?" That was before Roe v. Wade and abortion became the law of the land, but it's still not a bad question to ponder before being intimate with a woman. The same thing should be true for women, too. Just like it's their final decision as to having an abortion, it's theirs with having sex, too.

I bought a cheap watermelon from a local grocery store about twenty years ago; they were starting to sell a lot of Mexican goods to cater to the growing population here and also found out that Mexican produce was cheaper than U.S. grown. Anyway...I ate a slice of the watermelon, not as sweet as I had hoped, then after nearly finishing it, I got a horrible aftertaste in my mouth. By that evening, I was sick as a dog and while I'll spare you the details, I figured I should go to the hospital, but I was just too sick to move, and fouled myself over and over, practically paralyzed. I felt a little better the next day, drank a little water that came back up or went right out and it was a couple more days before I could work up the energy to go to work. I was reading the paper after I got to work and stopped on an article that said watermelons had been selling here in the U.S. contaminated by the sewage used to irrigate the plants.

I will not eat produce grown in Mexico and I extend that ban to catfish and seafood raised in Asia.
