YES or NO ??

             YES or NO

This vote only requires you to pass it on to others for it to be counted.

As many of you are aware, the Knights of Columbus submitted to congress that the words

"Under God" should be added to our pledge of allegiance.

Both Houses of Congress passed the law and it was signed by President Eisenhower in 1954.

The information below was based on a poll taken by NBC on what percentage should keep

the words in our pledge versus the percent who want it removed.

If you read this and agree that "under God" should be left in the pledge, then just forward it to others and you have voted for it to be left in.

If you delete it and don't forward it you are voting NO to "under God..."  Easy, huh?

"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

Shock to NBC ...

This is not sent for discussion.  If you agree, forward it.  If you don’t, delete it.

I don't want to know one way or the other.  By my forwarding it, you know how I feel.

86% to keep God in the Pledge of Allegiance and 14% against.  That is a pretty commanding public response.

Why should our Nation cater to 14%?

If you agree, pass this on  If not, simply delete.

When I was a young little heathen, I used to proudly recite the pledge with my classmates or the rest of the school during assemblies. (I might have been a heathen, but was still a proud American.) When I got to the part "under God" I simply did not say it. Problem solved.

When prayers were said before football games, I took my helmet off and bowed my head with the rest of my teammates. I did not pray, but rather tried to clear my mind and think about what I had to do in the upcoming game. Didn't hurt anyone and at least I showed respect to the customs of and to my peers and the same for the people who paid to give me an education.

I never was offended by those things, though.   I think what people are offended by tells more about the person than anything else. If you're offended by the mention of God...or someone wearing a MAGA hat...then I suspect you're offended by a lot of things that aren't worth the emotional investment.
