The President of the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) released a “fact sheet” Monday night saying that, contrary to claims made as part of a lawsuit, the U.S. Women’s National Team (USWNT) actually lost the federation millions of dollars. Despite this, the president claimed, women soccer players still out-earned their male counterparts.

My sister was a girl's basketball coach, big supporter of Title IX and would not listen to my argument that it was a fact of life in college and pro sports that the men's teams footed the bill for the women's. She would drag her family to WNBA games and even once insisted the TV be turned to the Olympic women's soccer game. It was a family reunion and me, my nephews and dad did not say anything (and I'm sure her husband knew better than to protest) I got up, went outside and smoked a cig and when I was done and came back inside all the males were asleep; it had taken five minutes of that boring crap to knock them out.

Not every woman's sport is boring, but things like soccer and basketball are when compared to the men's game.   I like women's figure skating, gymnastics, skiing and a few other sports, but some...well, they're monotonous.

LOL, You are correct about the male sports team foots the bill of the other college sports team. As a matter of fact, Bear Byrant put up millions of dollars to support other venues in Alabama like the band.
