WALSH: It’s Not Guns Or Mental Illness. The Problem Is Deeper Than That. | Daily Wire

In reaction to the horrific mass shootings in Dayton, Ohio, and El Paso, Texas, this weekend, many people on both sides have been engaged in the same game of slogan-shouting and cliche-spewing that always follows these kinds of things. One side says guns are the problem.

Important article to read in these tragically sad times that deliver a wrenching powerful psychic punch to our gut :-(

Do we need a Manhattan Project or Marshall Plan to uncover what's happening to our society let lose by the an unruly Evil and
God haters where the rules of 10 Commandments & the Cross are erased :-(

Spot on article. "Desensitized" is what I've been saying for a while; people have become desensitized to violence either due to graphic video games or in the movies. In the latter, the hero can be shot a dozen times and like a Timex watch, just keeps on ticking, even though in real life a bullet will often make a tiny hole in front but exit leaving a hole big enough to stick your head in and look around and not even get your ears bloody.

In video games, it's pretty much the same thing; get shot and a few points are taken off your "health meter", yet in real life, you'd be down on the ground, writhing in pain and quickly go into shock.

I'm not convinced on the constitutionality of the "red flag" law proposal. We're entitled to our privacy, even though we don't have much left...but that doesn't mean we need to have it ALL stripped away from us.   Besides, do you want the govt. knowing that you perhaps took Valium for a while after your mother/father/son or daughter died? I'm not fond of dampening your emotions with drugs, legal or otherwise, but sometimes it helps someone get through a bad patch. Yep, you take some Xanax or get some therapy for issues you might have and before you know it, they're knocking at your door to get your guns..."for your safety and that of others".

Wasn't it Ben Franklin who said "Those who would sacrifice liberty for safety deserve neither." ? I do not understand why the gun grabbers think confiscating guns would work. They are against deporting 12 million illegal aliens (although I think the figure is much larger), saying it can't be done, yet why do they think they can round up the half billion guns Americans currently own?

Personally, if I were King, I'd require ea. and every citizen to be armed.   "An armed society is a polite society." - Robt. A. Heinlein

Besides, we've already seen what prohibition brings about; we learned that in the 1920's and 30's and we're seeing a hugely expensive War on Drugs being a huge failure. Remember when that one type of Freon was banned? Suddenly, it became the #1 thing smuggled into the U.S., even moreso than drugs.

You wouldn't have to leave, worsttrucks...I'd have already thrown your ignorant ass over the castle wall into the moat...but only after I castrated you, just to make sure you didn't reproduce and pass along your defective genes.
