Of course, I don't care what you put on your hot dog. You can put relish or sauerkraut on it for all I care. I don't even give a crap if you put beans in your chili or make goulash without paprika or even prefer vodka in your martini over gin.

I don't eat hot dogs very often, the whole hot dog thing! To each his own, I suppose!

Sajack is hilarious, one of the few conservative celebs. left in Hollywood.   His knocks on the left almost always take this humorous form.

I like hot dogs myself, but I don't like ketchup on mine.   I prefer chili dogs w/ mustard and every now and then a dollop of relish on them. I would opt for mayo over ketchup if I had to make a choice.

BBQ weenies are pretty good, though.

I just ate 2 hot dogs last night and 2 the night before for the 1st time in a long time...something about labor day made me want hot dogs...I always put mustard, onions & chili without beans...no beans in my chili for sure...ugh!

Anyway they were good but don't think I want any more for awhile and will freeze the rest of them until I get the urge for one again.

I should not have eaten but one both times because I didn't feel so good afterwards with 2...lol
Wal Mart did not have my favorite kind of chili either so next time I'll find it somewhere...the right kind makes the difference in how it taste for sure!

That's my problem with the packaging, Vergie. I'm a single guy but I don't feel like eating hot dogs for four/five meals in a row.

Some of the most contentious arguments I've ever seen online weren't about politics or religion, but in food site forums.   It's almost embarrassing to see a fellow Texan claim it's a sin to put beans in chili. "That's not how we do it here in Texas!" Uh yeah, some folks do, hate to bust your bubble. I personally don't care for beans in MY chili, but a lot of times I put a can of chili in my beans, go figger. Another big argument is when a site puts up a recipe for goulash, but the purists go berserk b/c "It's not legitimate Hungarian!". Hey, I don't care what you call a dish, just don't forget to call me over for supper!

There are all kinds of canned chili and a lot of people swear by Hormel, but I am a Wolf Brand guy, through and through. (made in Texas!) You can buy generic turkey hot dogs and opt for the store brand buns, but don't skimp on the chili. I also prefer a nice sweet, white onion. Love Vidalias when they're in their short season, but there's a Texas Sweet that's nearly as good. I've noticed in my years of buying my own groceries and fixin' my own chili dogs that the flatter onions seem to be sweeter than the round/globe types.

This was the poll question today in one of my sample sites:

Do you like mustard on hotdogs?

Here are the results thus far:

59% Yes
19% No
16% Depends on what else is on the hotdog
6%      I don't eat hotdogs
