I believe he would have been elected had they not shown the commercial of the Nuclear Explosion with the little girl playing outside. I had the honor of being introduced to him.

I remember that advert, Bob but I wasn't near old enough to vote and had no interest in politics. LBJ probably killed more children w/ Agent Orange than a small yield nuke would have done if dropped on NYC. He certainly was directly responsible for the deaths of many tens of thousands of American young men and no telling how many Vietnamese children, both North and South. He also divided this country, something that hadn't been seen since the Civil War and not until Obama did it happen again on such a scale. The leftists are also dividing this country yet again, aided and abetted by the treasonous media.

Nixon was responsible for a fair share of those deaths, but at least he was trying to end the war. When vilifying him, the leftists always leave out that part.

I've voted for two Democrats, both county positions here and both were old school conservative "Zell Miller" type Democrats...which are extinct these days. They were doing a good job and were on their last terms before retirement. I generally don't vote for incumbents (of more than two terms) and if I don't vote Republican, I vote Libertarian or leave the box un-ticked.
