System scan [question]
Published:
I had just done a system scan using ad-ware.
When it was finished I quarantined the results recommended.
The question.
I do a bunch of numbers on notepad and wordpad. Sometimes there are symbols mixed in.
The system scan picked up on what I did and recommended quarantine which I did.
Does what I do with the numbers and symbols have anything to do why it recommended quarantine?
Comments
Also, if you take any small .exe program and rename the extension to .txt and open it with notepad, you generally see a bunch of numbers and symbols. (I had someone request a sheet in excel once that couldn't make it through their firewall...must have been at work. so I changed it into a text file and copied it into the body of the e-mail and it sailed right thru. all they had to do was paste to a notepad file, then change the extension back to .xls and it worked)
bottom line is you should be ok to keep the textfiles out of quarantine.
