Snake vs hawk
Published:
I was in the back laundry room just before I came in the house having a chew of tobaccy. I was looking out the screen door and all of a sudden I seen a good sized brown hawk suddenly fly down onto the lawn about fifteen feet in front of the screen door. The hawk sunk its talons by both feet into a black snake which was close to two feet long.
The snake put up a twisting fight for about three or four minutes while the hawk was sinking its beak into it. The hawk probably clamped down on the snake behind its head.
After the struggle the hawk flew off with the snake still doing twisting motions.
Nice meal for the hawk and maybe some for its eyas.
