last night we just missed being vacumed by a low grade tornado

Published:

My wife had said the sky opened up and the wind funnel just swooped by missing the homes but taking a neighbor and slamming them into a wall, trees down electric power off , flower pots being thrown, and one person hurt but not seriously thank god. Well anyhow we are all safe and praying that it wasn't worse. Was a low grade storm with a black or gray funnel looking for the 986,654,5896,4896,0189 good luck and stay well Thousandair

It must have been that line of storms I saw yesterday traveling eastward. Actually the weather channel was hoping it would dump some rain over Jersey for those fires.

At work today a guy was talking about being on the tappanzee bridge when the overcast of clouds were over rockland and the hudson river, he told me he never prayed as hard as he did to let the lord spare him, his truck was being pushed by the wind in a circle and hitting the truck he was driving accross the span at ten miles per hour. I can't amagine that. I would have been freightened also by that expierence. that's a terrifying ordeal to know that you are on a bridge and and the water is hundreds of feet deep. that's some serious stuff. Thousandair

Happy to hear you are okay. I've never experienced one, thank goodness. The hurricanes in 2004 and 2005 were bad enough. When I live in MA we had a huge blizzard in 1978 but I was lucky to have made a U turn that got me home. Many people were stuck on the interstate. After seeing the news last week when that small town in Kansas was flattened, the force and destruction of a tornado makes me gasp.
