No More LP at Work!!

Well, on Monday I came in to work and the tech guy had installed a new system on everyone's computer.  We now have a sonic wall that won't allow me to access Lottery Post.  It says it's blocked because of "gambling".  I can't even access individual state lottery websites.  Fortunately, I can still access the IL Lottery website and that's good because I can at least see if I won.  I guess it must block by category because I can't get sites like amazon or ebay because it blocked as "shopping".  Which I really don't care about those sites but boy do I miss being on LP.  I have to wait until I get home to get on.

If you have a cell phone you can get the results. Go to the top of the page & click on results then click on Get Results On Your Cell Phone.

It is a firewall of some sort, they can set an exception to LP, you can tell them or show them there is no gambling on this site, that it is a resource and you need to stay in touch with your LP family.

you need to stay in touch with your lp family!! this is not an excuse.get them to realize this place is like CNN you got to have it.

I've worked at places where I can't get on many sites. Pac, I disagree that this is "Big Brother." If a company owns the equipment, they have every right to limit what the employees do or don't do with them.

You can also get to the mobile version of Lottery Post on your cell phone (not just results).

Start your phone's web browser and go to the address mobile.lotterypost.com.

jarasan - I sent them an email explaining that this is not a gambling site, no money involved, just a forum for people to talk about the lottery. I have yet to receive a response - I think they're ignoring me. But I'm going to keep sending emails until I get a response. I sure miss being on LP and I have such a short time in the evening to be on.
Laverne and Todd - I don't have the internet on my phone don't want anymore expense added to my cell phone bill. Thanks for the info though.
