On this same day May13, 1981 Pope John Paul 11 was a victim of a assignation conpiracy attempt in Saint Perter's Square Rome by a Turkish Muslim assailant Mehmet Ali Acra and two Bulgarian communist crew assistants
Although the Pope was seriously wounded, he miraculously recovered giving credit to the direct Virgin Mary's intersession.
