Hard Rock Boss VS NJ Gov Prposed NO CASINO Smoking Bill

Published:

Allen, Cairman of Hard Rock International, told The Associated Press on Monday that smoking was one of several topics he discussed with the governor in recent weeks.

“I don't think I was trying to change the governor's mind,” Allen said. “It was a general conversation about the economic challenges of a smoking ban and the impact it would have” if one were enacted.

We operate in many states where smoking is not allowed,” Allen said. “When you look at markets where smoking has been banned, there have been significant double-digit declines” in casino revenue.

Anti-smoking advocates say the casinos are overstating the potential economic impacts of banning smoking, predicting that customers and revenues will return after an initial adjustment period.

I don't smoke anymore but I'm just sick of Democrats protesting and whining about EVERYTHING on Earth. And you know this is coming from Democrats cuz it's just their nature to be a pain in the ass to as many people as possible as often as possible. These are the weirdos still walking around and driving their Priuses with face diapers on even after they have been shown to be ineffective. I hope they make smoking MANDATORY at casinos everywhere and you must smoke two cigarettes at a time and no masks allowed.

Illinois does not allow smoking in casinos and it is a Godsend for the employees and the none smoking players.

Some smokers got to nearby states that allow smoking...... a lot of gamblers are heavy smokers, tell you anything about self destructive behavior?

When Illinois did allow smoking and the boats actually sailed I was working on the third deck one day and it was literally like walking into a smoking parlor on steroids. I cracked one door open and a young female player said, "What do you think you're doing?" I pointed at the door and said "See the smoke billowing out of that door? These people have lungs, what do you think you're doing?"
