The fatal destiny of the SS Eastland passenger steamship

Time Line: July, 1915 chcago 

Ill fathead ocean liner SS Eastland went under the waves with with more than 2500 people as it mysteriously rolled ono it's side while docked at the Clark Street Bridge on the Chicago River, an 844 estimated died  :-(

Tragic shame. One of my ex's great great grandfathers was supposed to be on that boat but he was sick that day. He kept the ticket in a frame with a newspaper article about it. The family still has it.

Time Line: July e5th,1956 Sadly Another Sea Saga ~~~~~
he Italian Liner SS Andrea Doria (named after a historic heroic Admiral) collided with the Swedish passenger ship 'Stockholm' off the nw England coast late at night and brgan sinking tragically 51 people - 46 from the Anrea Doria, 5 from the Stockholm went nder the waves ~~~~~

Likewise, Ridge et al, I rcall a grand uncle visiting from the old country arrived on the Andea Doria before the crash and hearing him bemoan the sad tragic loss of life on such a beautiful vessel.
