Nice Vacation
A man and his ever-nagging wife went on vacation to Jerusalem. While they were there, the wife passed away.
The undertaker told the husband, "You can have her shipped home for $5,000, or you can bury her here, in the Holy Land, for $150."
The man thought about it and told him he would just have her shipped home.
The undertaker asked, "Why would you spend $5,000 to ship your wife home, when it would be wonderful to be buried here and you would spend only $150?"
The man replied, "Long ago a man died here, was buried here, and three days later he rose from the dead. I just can't take that chance."

Pac, are you having a religion crisis because of that manzplan guy? Please don't let that guy bother you. He didn't realize it, and most don't that are just like him, but he was actually doing the work of GOD's people. In a particular thread he posted many verses from the bible on lottery post. He was trying so hard to make a point that actually he disproved in the long run. He wound up "preaching" to Lottery Post members. That is one way of doing GOD's peoples' work. It never ceases to amaze me when people try to disprove GOD, they actually prove his existence more or do his work without even knowing it. Unfortunately, he, like so many other preachers do, used verses out of the bible to fit his purpose. Taking verses out of context is a sin. Anyone should know better than that. To hear him tell it, it is a sin to have any money at all. Many preachers wind up making people think that when they misuse the verses. That is just plain not true. Read the book of Job. He was very rich. One of the richest men 'in the land'. The devil tested him by taking all he had and nearly killing him., And when he didn't betray GOD, he was given 10 times as much as he had before. Why would a GOD that didn't want us to have any money do that? He wants us to be happy and healthy and, yes, even have money. He wills it so. It is the LOVE of money and GREED that is sinful. Not trying to have things that make you happy. (healthy things, that is, and according to his word.) Even though he was trying to make me feel bad about gambling, he actually made me feel a little better about it. Because, once again, I didn't see anything that said it was a sin. Coveting isn't the same thing as gambling, I don't care how you dress it up. I don't know about eveyone else here, but I don't gamble for gambling's sake. I play the mega millions and powerball (and WORK very hard trying to decipher them) so that I can better myself and my family and make things better for us. Not the other way around. I view it as a job I just haven't gotten paid for yet. lol. You can call it an investment if you want to, just waiting on the returns.
I don't believe in organized religion. Period. I don't believe there are 72 versions of virgins waiting up in some other dimension. I don't believe you have to go through Christ only, if you want to be saved. Saved from what? I never did anything to be saved from it. As far as I'm concerned, I don't even remember asking to be born in the first place.
Just like I don't believe in Santa, the fairy God mother, Tooth fairies, Thor, Zues, Budda, or any of those myths of the past. Those myths were written for people who were and still are afraid of their mortality. The bible has many contadictions, too long to list here. But one that stands out off the cuff is the when the people were lead out of Egypt by a man called Moses. They lived in the desert for 40 years. Not one shred of evidence has been found in that same area. You would thing that if a people lived in one place for 40 years, something could be dug up, but nothing. I can go on and on. To me it's just a bunch of made up stories to keep people in line.
And BTW, Moses did not split the RED SEA. Don't believe me? do your own research. In the original text, the name red sea wasn't even mentioned. People like to twist things around.
The earth is not 6 thousand years old because it takes light from distant galaxies billions of years to reach the planet. Very simple. Yet people (Adults) still put horse blinders on and refuse to open their minds. They're sheeple, blindly following anything anyone says without atleast trying to use their brains first. It amazes me that over half of the population on earth still believes in fairly tales, about some Angry, jeolous , uncaring, divine entity, that will judge people without providing them solid proof of his own existence. Since when does an Omnipotent God, all knowing and powerful, have human traits such as jeolousy. What does he possibly have to be jealous of. Or angry about. Those are words written by men, not god, and that's why they use thos adjectives, because that's all they knew.
So many divine interventions back in the old days of the bible, but not one intervention these days. You had Moses open the seas, you had the walls of Jericho come tumbling down, you had the great flood, you had Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead, healing the blind. You had the city of Sodom burn to a crisp. You had God directly speaking with Adam and Eve. You had days where every first born male died. Yet not one iota of divine intervention during all the bloody wars.
The above PROVES to me that those stories are fake. The mere fact that the population of earth back then was just a fraction of what it is today, makes no sense that God wouldn't intervene when humans need it the most today. 6 million Jews were slaughtered, and some were thrown in ovens alive. All together 50 million people lost their lives in WWII. Not even mentioning The civil war, and WWI. No intervention! But back then, if a few thousand people needed help, well WOW!...the sky opens up and supernatural wonders come out of thin air and miracles happen. Yeah Right. But when it involves millions on millions of people, ah! heck withem. What happenede to all those Supposed interventions. Why stop now?
And don't give me that whole "free will" BS! If there was free will, I should have been able to choose whether I wanted to be born into this place called hell. I gaurantee you that if I was asked in 1964 whether I wanted to be born, knowing the past, I would have chosen a NO.
People....we have to wake up from this brain washing. I'm not telling people what to believe in, I'm just simply giving you an option. I would be just as bad as all those religous freaks at the airports, weraing some silly garb handing out flyers. Or appearing on TV with my index finger pointing away like a raging madman telling everyone that if you don't listen to what my way of thinking, then you'll burn in some lake of fire gnashing your teeth. Yeah so, basically 90 percent of all humanity is gonna burn in hell. If a omnipotent god who knows everything, and has no beginning and no end, wouldn't also know that 90 percent of humanity will burn? And still went on with creation anyway. You're telling me he didn't know what adam was gonna do in the garden? Why create a situation like that? To test? Oh OK...so let me get this straight. God is going to damn all of humanity because of the actions of 2 people. Some christians have told me that we are all like adam and eve, being tested everyday like they were in the garden. Really? They personally talked to God. They knew for a fact that he existed. A big difference. Not only that, how can God think that every single person on the planet would do what adam and eve did. People are different. How does he know that I would have obeyed his comman or not? Maybe I would have. On the other hand, if the argument is that God knew that everyone would do what both of them did, then it is a contradiction. To say that it was free will, and then in the same breath say that he knew what humanity would do is a contadiction. Either he knew and let it happen anyway, or he didn't. If he didn't then he should ahve created a sperate garden for every single person he created. Then you would know if that human would listen to your command or not, under those same circumstances.
The only people who go to heaven are spanish maids named Maria!
Thanx, and have a nice day...LOL
You crack me up sometimes....LOL
How many prayers have been given towards the soldiers who are out their fighting, and still lose their lives? How many prayers have been given towards the the people who are terminally ill, and still die? How many parayers for kids with cancer and still die?
I'm glad that he listned in your behalf and not for billions of others. I guess he's selective about who he wants to help.
That's nice to know. A god who toys around with people's pain and suffering. Just sitting back and laughing while innocent babies are killed in Africa because of their tyrannical leaders.
Just please...give me a break.
