3 cups pitted black olives
1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts
1/2 cup mayo
1 tablespoon sour cream
1 teaspoon thyme
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon dried minced onion
combine ingredients in food processor and then refrigerate untill ready to serve
serve on toasted bread or crackers

The walnuts you mentioned reminds me of my favorite salad. A chicken Waldorf salad with bits of chicken (obviously...LOL), mayo, walnuts, and apples, served over some greens.
The sweetness of the apples combined with the nutty essence of the walnuts, compliments the chicken very well.
My other dish invoving walnuts is a Persian receipe. It's basically a stew that is poured over Basmati rice (popcorn rice). The stew contains chicken, ground walnuts, pomegrande sauce, with a little sugar and salt. It's just pure heaven, because after about 2 hours of simmering, the whole color changes into a beautiful dark, marronish brown sauce that is out of this world. Again...the nuts complimenting the chicken...HMMMM
