They are saying that the societal devolution affecting the world now began when the cell phone became ubiquitous in our lives. Makes sense reducing human interaction to texts, tictok, fbook, bots and instagram etc… not good.

Man's desire to control other members of its species has no boundaries or decency. Whether from the early days of Romans, Atilla the Hun or Adolf Hitler. There will always be deviants who will do/say anything to gain power. Once that is acquired, it is the beginning of self-greatness and the belief that they are above reproach or man's laws. While the chaos and disdain grows each day between fellow countrymen, I truly hope that the 1860's do not repeat. Be cautious, be ready, trust few and remain dutiful with integrity.  General Patton told his troops, don't worry about your flanks, make the enemy worry about his flanks.
To each there comes in their lifetime a special moment when they are figuratively tapped on the shoulder and offered the chance to do a very special thing, unique to them and fitted to their talents.  What a tragedy if that moment finds them unprepared or unqualified for that which could have been their finest hour. ----Winston Churchill
