Actually $25,000 is the going rate. I wonder what would happen if I sold m7 56 year old kidney. The poor person who was waiting and finally got a donor would have to get up every couple of hours to go.

All joking aside, poor people in 3rd world countries are being solicited on the Black Market for their organs. Sad. Really sad. But a kidney can feed and clothe a family in South America for years.

There was a program on one of those investigating reports (like 60 Minutes or 48 Hours) a few years back about people in Peru selling their kidneys to rich Americans.
