That is a well known trick by prosecutors to dump an enormous amount of discovery on the defense to prepare a defense with a short time frame before the trial.

It is how they roll, bunch of crooks afraid of getting caught so they'll not be able to steal the American taxpayer's money anymore.

Legal paper is .004 of an inch thick per sheet. 250 sheets per inch. 11,600,000 sheets. That works out to a stack 46,400 inches high, or 3,866 feet 8 inches, or 0.7323 miles. That's a LOT of paper.
