The second largest Summer fair in Canada, the Central Canada Exhibition, also known as Super EX opens for the next 10 days in Ottawa.  The fair offers an array of rides, agricultural exhibits, entertainment, and shows for all who visit the Nation’s Capital region from August 16-26. 
Lansdowne Park and its vast fairgrounds (usually home to CFL’s Ottawa Roughriders) are transformed into Super EX…a huge larger than life midway and entertainment venue featuring about 8 performance stages and a giant main stage inside the stadium that will see many big acts.  Canadian Rich Little who got his start in Ottawa,  Michael Bolton, Trooper, Honeymoon Suite, and Jeff Healey to name a few. 
More than 100 rides from traditional to some new crowd favorites offer the bumps and grinds one looks for at a fair.  For those interested in farm machinery and agriculture….there is numerous displays from sheep shearing to new innovations in harvesting and steam threshing.
