    U.S Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent appears for an interview with Bloomberg, to set the record straight.  Bessent says Elon Musk and his DOGE government efficiency team are not “tinkering” with any federal payment data. He says the group does important work, and two of the DOGE analysts are Treasury Dept employees.

    Secretary Bessent also talks about the strength of the US dollar, President Donald Trump’s agenda and meeting with Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell and more.  The remarks about DOGE are at the front of the interview. WATCH:

Well, they mess with my SS money and other retiree's money, the poop WILL hit the fan. Last thing I need to worry about is pol's and their pals f-ing with my money.

Common RCB, the previous elected idiots have already screwed way too much with SS and gotten their sticky fingers into that cash cow. It wasn't supposed to be touched at all. Wasn't that the promise that Roosevelt made to the people 80 years ago ?..Let's see what is being screwed with and covered up. I am still hoping that SS gets passed to be tax free, along with tips and OT.

Nice title to an article.."...But one should really read it and comprehend
First paragraph states:
"As Elon Musk continues to dismantle government agencies, threaten workers with layoffs and gain access to government data, congressional Republicans on Wednesday blocked Democratic efforts to compel him to answer for his actions under oath".
He has no authority and only makes recommendations through findings...He is an auditor. Period.  (and his team are pretty good at it)......Find the waste fraud and abuse, bring it to light, make a suggestion and "let the big guy" do the authorized legal stuff.  Why would any reasonable taxpayer have a problem with an audit that the Dems are screaming about ? Isn't it about" We the people" knowing what is going on with our money being spent by OUR Government ?   When did that change ?
