Who is Jack Whittaker

 I had trouble signing into this site today.  I had to write to the people who run this site to see what it is I needed to do.  They mailed me my password twice, but still I wasn't able to get in.

I read all the FAQ before writing, they have a whole list of things they DO NOT respond to, one of them was kind of strange.

Here is the quote:

  • Do not send us your message to Jack Whittaker.  We are not Jack Whittaker, and we have no way to contact him.

    • I have no idea who Jack Wittaker is, I've never heard of him.  Why would anyone write to them concerning a man named Jack Wittaker?

    Can anyone enlighten me ask to who this man is?

    Jack is powerball's largest single ticket winner at 314.9 million dollars several years ago. He has had alot of problems since winning.

    I think you're one of the only lottery players left who has not heard of Jack. You certainly can't be a frequent reader here without hearing his name!

    By the way, when you click the link to send yourself a password reminder, you're not really "writing to the people who run the site". You're just having the computer e-mail you the password.

    Did you check the Help forum when you were having problems? There are lots of good ideas there.

    Thanks, now I know who Jack is. Sorry, I've been playing the lottery for years, I can remember some of the biggest Jack Pots, but never do I remember the names of the persons who did win.

    I would never occur to me to call or write a Jack Pot winner. I am sure they would feel that I was only after their money. And they would be right.
