Been working on porch ramp last couple weeks. Got the ramps done and primed. Need to add wheel bump rail on side of ramps plus one short hand rail. purchased a bag of washed and screened play sand to add a coat of grit paint to surface of ramp. Mix my own grit paint as I only need about one quart. Paid like $11.00 including delivery for a 50 lb bag of play sand and only need about ½ cup.

The ramp slopes down 3.5 feet to a platform and then turns left which slopes down 2.5 feet. The total rise from walkway to top of porch is 5.5 inches. 

Purchased a ready made door sill ramp for front door as it has a curb about 2.5 inches high. It extends out far enough[ about 8 inches] for the wheels to roll up on.  Much easier than trying to make one.

Taking a long time to do with my hadicap but I am getting it done.
