Egypt has been geographically in Africa since the beginning of human settlement, long before the first dynasty (~3100 BCE), and remained so through:

The Old Kingdom

Middle Kingdom

New Kingdom

Late Period

Greek rule

Roman rule

There is no period in which Egypt was not an African civilization.

 

They interacted heavily with darkerskinned Nubians” — How long?

👉 Continuously for over 3,000 years.

Egypt and Nubia had:

Trade

Warfare

Intermarriage

Shared religious ideas

Political alliances

Periods where Nubians ruled Egypt (25th Dynasty, 744–656 BCE)

Nubia was Egypt’s closest neighbor, and the relationship was constant from the Predynastic era until the fall of Meroë (~350 CE).
