Bath remo update [debating on cabinet]
Published:
Updated:
Hall bath is finished up to the point of toilet and vanity to be installed.
Debating on buying a cabinet with cultured marble top with cabinet made with MDF board because of price, This is not a high budget project.
I would prefer a cabinet made with wood. They are in the cost range of $400.00 and up. That price range is out of my budget range.
So I am considering building my own wood cabinet. The only tool I really need to buy is a 35 MM forstner bit kit for the hidden hinges which cost about $25.00.
I figure I can do a 24 inch wooden cabinet all painted up for for about $125.00 or so. Then buy vanity top separately Which is in the $100.00 or so range.
It is not that difficult to cut and fit boards and make doors to size.
Why a solid wood bath cabinet? Moisture infiltration difference between MDF board and wood.
