I am too, I agree with you so much, I always make the remark when i am with or around my grandchildren that if they are touch in any type of sexual way, I am prepared to go to jail, because I will make sure they never live to do it to some other child and I mean it, have you read where they say it is always someone you do not expect that is a friend of the family.... or a family member...I just think it is so sick destroying these children lives... it just takes away there childhood because they are never the same..

Me too! I wish the health and human services Child welfare offices were worth a ****! Here, they just ignore you when you call in a complaint. Or they come out and take a few statements and go on and still do nothing., seeing what is going on. I wish there was some sort of federal office we could report their butts to! What's more frustrating than seeing children abused? Seeing the so called "help" (police, cws,hhs) do NOTHING about it! I turn in everyone I see doing it. But it does no good. Like Jani, you have to risk going to jail to stop it yourself.

Me too Angel M. It's not only the abusers and perverts but people are snapping and hurting or killing their own children. We are seeing so much of that lately.

What some of these mothers do and let men do to their own children is beyond me. What they don't realize when the world is so bitter to them is that they have something beautiful and wonderful right in front of them and it's a child.

I wonder if it's being reported more because people are aware of this abuse. It's been going on for a very long time, but neighbors didn't do a thing back in the 50s or 60s. (believe me, I know) People don't have to be on drugs or even drink to be abusive. Many parents are stressed out or depressed and release their frustrations on their kids. Even the most "normal" looking homes have a lot of terrible things going on behind closed doors.

What frustrates me is when the children are returned to the abusive parents.

I think that I'm the only guy responding so far, but I agree with everything you said (except that children are little angels...mine weren't...lol)

I saw a pregnant woman buy cigarettes and scratchers the other day and I said something to the store clerk about the cigarettes and he said he felt the same way about pregnant women smoking but if he didn't sell her the cigarettes she would just get them somewhere else...it starts early!

Anyway, as far as punishment goes I know that cruel and unusual punishment is not constitutional but where does it say that that is a fixed standard and not relative to the crime. In other words if the crime is really sick then cant the "cruel and unusual" be adjusted relative to the crime?

I agree 100%. Reminds me of a Carpenters song called " Bless the Beast and the Children" the lyrics says "for in this world they have no voice". So sad!!!!!
