I've seen this a few times and it's very strange. I think people are waiting a long time and get tired (yes?)   It's hard to understand, since there have been a lot of faintings, even in cold climates, and people are calling him the Messiah. Maybe they're Republicans...or maybe it's like when the Beatles came to America in 1964. I told my friend if she went nuts & fainted on the floor of the Boston Garden she'd have to stay there until they came to clean it up for a Celtics game, because I wasn't going to shlep her home.

Personally, I prefer the fainting goats.

Around here we call that passing out. Fainting connotes an overwhelming emotion or event that causes one to lose it, I think those people are passing out to due physical stress, such as heat, dehydration, exhaustion, etc...

Only the Beatles, Nirvana, and Michael Jackson can cause people to faint.

Rick, it's a long story (don't worry..lol) but I've been to many Pentecostal services and every time I do my best, but I guess the spirit hasn't moved me that deeply. They have people waiting to catch me, and a couple of times I felt obligated to fall backward. Actually, spiritually healing is good for the soul .. mind and body too. It just doesn't have to be that dramatic!

Jarasan, if I ever faint over Michael Jackson, then please have me committed. I might faint (even sitting down) if my numbers get drawn on Wed since the FL jackpot is $37 million.

Just to extrapolate a bit on time*treat's comment...Obama is pushing a World Wide Poverty Act that would enable the United Nations to collect taxes from member states for the 'elimination of poverty". The US would have to pay 7% MORE THAN IT ALREADY DOES in world wide welfare payments.

There's a couple problems with this. The United Nations does not have taxing authority over ANYONE. (We saw how well they handled the "food for oil" program in Iraq.) The other problem is the money you throw at these countries does not trickle down to the starving population. There is no accountability and most of this money goes to line the pockets of the government officials in those countries.
