Is the powerball for real?

Hello there to everyone,

I have been playing the lottery for many years now and have numbers to the powerball  that go way back.  (  On  4/ 3/ 1993)  -  The powerball numbers were-  (15-22-24-32-39- PB -18)

           ( on 12/27/00)      -   The powerball numbers were-  (15-22-24-32-39-PB - 18!!)

This to me seems like the numbers can be controlled,  You tell me?  Maybe someone from one of the newspapers will do an ivestigation and it will end up on that show they call masterminds!  Hope everyone has a good day and Thankyou for reading my post,  John

While they had same numbers drawn. How could this be considered anything other than coincidence.

The Powerball is real. Any set of numbers can come out anytime, even repeats.

Why don't you write them for information about how many ballsets they rotate for draws, how many pre and post drawing tests they conduct, how often they replace these ballsets? Also ask about how many machines they use. Not secret information, they usually reply very quickly with complete information. My opinion is they're a class act all the way, very honest and forthcoming ... wish Georgia had never dropped Powerball in lieu of Mega Millions.

BTW, sometimes draws come out the same with ball drop draws, no matter which lottery is conducting draws.   Check out the GA Lottery Cash 3 draws on March 22, 2008. It's happened before in Georgia.

That's very, very interesting! Thank you for posting that. And what a nice catch! It gives me hope for some of the numbers I keep playing.

Here's a head's up that no one else here will tell you. No matter how much you think the powerball and mega millions are rigged, don't talk about it on here. NO ONE here will agree with you and they will try to talk you right out of any thought of such a thing., except me. But just so you know, I think so too. But it doesn't matter if they are controlled or not, because I feel if I am meant to win then I will win the jackpot. Doesn't matter how. Doesn't matter why. It'll happen no matter what any of us do.

The MUSL began operations on September 16, 1987.
Prior to April 19, 1992, PowerBall was known as LottoAmerica, which used a 6/54 matrix (before that it was an incredible 7/40). On that date, the PowerBall game was introduced, which used a two-drum matrix (5/45 white + 1/45 red). The matrix was changed on November 2, 1997, to 5/49 white + 1/42 red. This was also the first drawing for which the cash option was offered and the annuity period was changed from 20 years to 25. On October 9, 2002, four white balls were added, which changed the white field from 5/49 to 5/53. The red field was not changed.
The 5/55 + 1/42 matrix currently used was introduced on August 28, 2005.
I won't say that the numbers can't be controlled or otherwise manipulated, but I think we should consider the fact that we're actually looking at identical results for two very different games. The first time this combination was drawn, the matrix was 5/45 +1/42. In the second drawing, the matrix was 5/49 +1/42.
If it happened once in seven years (and it did), then it's certainly wise to keep your eye on it. If it happens twice while the same matrix is being used, then I'd say it's time to stop playing.
My personal belief is that the MUSL runs an honest game but, given the vast evidence LosingJeff and I collected during our four-year investigation into the Hoosier Lottery and their crooked practices, I wouldn't rule anything out.
Good catch, though; I've been tracking the PowerBall game for years, and I wouldn't have seen that if jonstru2u hadn't pointed it out. These are things we all need to be aware of, so hats off to Jon for bringing this to our attention.
