The Lottery wouldn't let me play my pick 3 or pick 4 numbers!!

Published:

Hello there,

As you all know i am new to here so please bear in mind with me, ok?  Anyway- last year on (7/7/07) , of course i tryed to play the pick 3 numbers of  (777) on this date but as i did the girl behind the counter at the store says that  number was all sold out!   I said,  ok  then i'll take a pick 4 with the #'s of 7777 and they were also sold out !!    I understand both sides of a coin-  (#1)-   If these numbers came up and the lottery didn't cut off the amount that was sold,  they would be paying out alot of $   and that could add up to alot!!

(#2)-   If those numbers would have came up on 7/7/07 and you couldn't win because the numbers were all sold out,  how happy would you be?   Please let me know what you think about all of this?  and hope all of you have a nice day,  Jon

beings you new at this I'll try and explain there are certain numbers that are cut off by the lottery anytime the have sold so many tickets that they have reached their payout threshold. depending on what state you live in that threshold could be somewhere around 2.5 million or more give or take.

In other words supposed everybody that woke up on 7/7/07 said I'm going to play 777 and 7777 today. and that number would have came out imagine how much the lottery would have to pay out for that number. The payout could be in the billions of dollars and while you might think the lottery can afford to pay out billions of dollars they cant.

If you want to play numbers like this do it ahead of time like a day or two before the event.

is a very wrong practice...Again the state lottery has a monopoly and it has too much power...

the state lottery in the U.S is worse than the IRA or IRS whatever you call it...

They have limits set in states as to how many of certain numbers can be sold. Just the way it is.

Plan ahead if you feel a number coming, check the play slip if you have the option of purchasing a particular number in advance then letting it play out for however many days you want it to run.

Don't feel bad about getting shut out. Yeasrs ago when I lived in New York, I played 888, 333, 8888 and 3333 all the time and if I didn't get to the corner store early on Monday and play them for the week, I would get shut out. So many people play the triples and quads its a wonder that those 20 numbers aren't ALWAYS sold out. Remember, all state lottery commisions are there to TAKE your money, not to give it back to you. They will call ANY number SOLD OUT whenever they see that the payout on that number will be more than they have taken in for that draw. Get you tickets early! Have fun!
