Thanks, Lantern. I've read the natural cures on earthclinic.com I've been looking for some unsulphured Blackstrap Molasses. I'm going to take a ride to Whole Foods to see if they carry it. I've read it heals a lot of painful ailments. One thing I never eat is anything greens (except for the food that gets moldy LOL) Chewing for me is very hard anyway, but I should start drinking Green Magma again. It doesn't taste too bad and I can always mix it with tomato juice. I used to use my juicer a lot, but staying healthy is also expensive. You posted a link to Dr. Mercola. I've noticed over the past several years that he seems to promote certain brands for profit. If you got back and read through his newsletters, you can pick up on a lot of contradictions.

Hi!

I added the new stuff into the original post already, but here it is anyway just in case.
As I write this I am sick and have been for almost a week, but I am now just a little better, I get sick very often now-days, but this is one of the real bad times, I have my great share of health problems and yes, teeth problems too and yes, health foods and medications are very expensive.
I never fully recover, but almost, but this time is very hard to and I am not so sure.

Sorry you are sick. Actually I rarely get sick if you are talking about colds or the flu. When I was working in a store and everyone was home with the flu, I got lots of overtime, because I never caught anything. I do have lots of digestion problems, chronic insomnia and neurological pain. But I've been this way since I was a kid. Think it's a combination of nutrition and emotional. Also, I am convinced that much of what goes wrong with people is iatrogenic. Then there are very black & white problems like being in an accident, although how you heal is affected by many things.

The problem for me is juicing was a major waste of food and very expensive. When I finally move I probably should buy a Vitamix. That can turn a 2-by-4 into a milkshake. lol   Fiber is important and juicing removes most of it. I get full easily however, when I make shakes or soup. I eat a lot of pasta and tomato sauce. Once someone told me to stop eating tomatoes because they cause inflammation. I think someone would have to shoot me before I could give up spaghetti and marinara. :-)   I put tomato sauce on just about everything, even my scrambled eggs.

Regarding juicing raw fruits or veggies, that's not always safe unless you buy organic. Fiber moves the toxins through our body, but juicing puts all the bad stuff directly into our system. Also you need to watch what you juice. For example, eating spinach won't hurt you, but it contains a lot of oxalates and they can cause kidney stones which are a form of oxalate & calcium. To tell you the truth, I'm too lazy to cook much. When I win the lottery, I think I'll hire a cook. lol I also think what you don't put in your body is more important than what you do. It would take too long to explain, but most of the world lives on staples like rice and most don't eat the designer diets the holistic health industry would like us to believe are cure-alls. I think cutting way down on junk food, sugar, caffeine, meat, processed foods and other empty calories would cure half of most people's ailments.

Cayenne? Are you trying to kill me? LOL If I took pepper I would need to take it in capsule form. I've been using Peter Gillam vitamins & minerals, but I had more energy when I took Alive. Highly recommend that as a vitamin.

Lantern, thanks for all this health information. I have high blood pressure, and anemia. I'm on 4 different medications for my pressure, and I've just started taking chlorophyll and Gerotol with iron for my anemia. I've been taking these products for 3 weeks now. I was reading about Sun Chlorella, and was wondering maybe when I buy chlorophyll again, it should be that! It seems to be more powerful. What's your take on that? I am beginning to feel better since I've been taking both products!

Gentlespirit, it's interesting that you posted you take Geritol. When I was growing up there were always ads for it using the words "iron poor blood." Now they're saying iron is bad for people, so most of the vitamins I take have no iron. I wonder if I should try some for energy. In the days of the horse & buggies, women would boil rusty nails and drink the water.

People are told that salt is bad, I have read at several places on the Internet and also from a health book long ago that "Edible Rock Salt" perhaps such as:

Are safe to eat even for those that might have health problems such as "High Blood Pressure", as it will not raise the blood pressure.
Perhaps other salts, including "Regular Table Salt" are unsafe to eat.
Don't worry about the Iodine, sea food and sea vegetables have enough of it, if you eat fish or use a little bit of Kelp or other sea vegetable(s) sometimes.
Pure Sea salt and Rock Salt are said to have a lot of trace minerals that we need to eat.

Now. when a person eats "Inorganic Minerals" the human body might still be able to use them, but if overdone, that is taking too much of them, they will accumulate in the person's body even in the soft tissues and joints, kidneys etc, causing problems.

Thanks. I just want to clarify that I am not at all worried about getting kidney stones. Never think about getting sick, because I'm just dealing with what I already have. LOL   I just was pointing out that any extreme can cause more harm than good. So if you are juicing a lot of greens, you need to know your limit. I mean, let's take carrot juice for an example (not green, but it's a popular drink) There is a lot of sugar in a carrot. In the "real world" you might eat one in a day, maybe 2. But when you juice, you get a zing of Vit A and can get a big sugar high too. So that great feeling people often get might be from the sugar. Yes, it's natural and better than a soda, but there are lots of natural things that can hurt you. Everything in moderation is what I meant. Spinach is very good for you so I would never tell anyone to worry about oxalates unless they juice pounds of it. I mean, there is cyanide in apples, but I wouldn't worry about it either unless you overdo it, although I recommend removing the seeds before juicing. Some people juice the whole apple. The body will detoxify the cyanide if you eat an apple seed, but like anything else, it can't tolerate too much poison at one time.

Yes, you are very right on all of that, that is why some people use power blenders instead of juicers, that way you get the whole food in the right amount, you won't throw anything away not even the fiber.
There are other power blenders besides the VitaMax, they are all good, but very expensive, some are commercial blenders, but people can still buy them from the right places.

When I was a little girl, my mother took Geritol every day. Sometimes we have to go back to the old remedies to help cure ourselves. I was kind of skittish about iron also, that's why I decided to take Geritol with iron...I felt safe taking it. However, I think I'm doing something right for my body because I DO FEEL BETTER since I've been taking the Geritol and the chlorophll.

I also remember about reading about boiling rusty nails for iron...I think that was in the pioneers day!!! :) And also, cooking in old cast iron skillets help give you more iron too!!!
