Bunch of kill joys.

I imagine they might scare some wildlife, but I can't picture a 4th of July without them. What isn't harmful these days? Flushing the toilet is hazardous, especially if you take medication. I'm sure drinking beer & passing gas is too. I watched the Boston Pops (as always) and got homesick. On Sat my next door neighbor set off quite a few rockets or whatever you call them. It was a lot of fun while his 4 yr old told me the names of the colors..and spelled them too. lol We are experiencing a major drought here in FL, so I was against them at first, but it rained heavily a few hours earlier. clear. I think we all need to think about the damaging effects of anything we humans do to the environment, including vegetation, trees & wildlife, but we also need to enjoy life and have fun. There's a balance.

Meh, it's all about control. They go on about how "harmful" this or that substance is. Mercury, lead, uranium, etc. *are* harmful in your water, or food, or vaporized in high concentration in your air, but last I heard they all come from ground ores ... i.e. the environment. Maybe the treehugging hippies should take their complaint to the storm clouds and volcanoes. Forest fires and the average volcanic eruption produce more *pollution* in one year than mankind can produce in ten years.

t*t that is putting it mildly, the average volcanic eruption such as Krakatoa? Mankind can't hold a candle to mother nature, if one of these large eruptions happen , and it will, we will be on the endangered species list or quite possibly extinct.
