Funny and probably near the truth depending on who services those machines. Not saying where it happened but saw slime hanging off the spigot of a self serve stainless tea urn in a chain full meal family eat in take out restaurant. No excuse for that. Seems higher management needed to explain the benefits of disassembling and scrubbing with bleach.

Konane...restaurants don't care what they serve us anymore...that's why I eat out less and less! Food is costing a fortune plus you're still not satisfied!!!...and don't even think about cleanliness!

You folks wouldn't eat out at all if you saw what I saw in the few restaurants I've worked in years ago.

They'll drop a a piece of raw breast meat on the floor and just brush it off with a rag. I've seen them dip a raw piece of chicken in a small container of melted butter and then throw it on the grill. The melted butter isn't hot enough to kill any bacteria. It is heated but it's not above 160 degrees. They use that same butter for other things too.

Chinese restaurants are the worst. While waiting for my take out one day, I noticed a guy chopping chicken and pilining it against a bare wall above the table. In other places, while driving around the back entrance of a chinese place, I saw them cutting veggies right on the ground outside...nasty.

There is a chinese place I used to frequent until a fellow employee told me of a story which I checked out to be totally true. Her sister was a cop and and one day discovered a cat's paw in her food. She got a warrant and raided the place only to find out there were cats hangind on stings in the kitchen. I asked he how they are still in business. She told me that they kept opening up under different names. 5 times that is....

Pac...that's one of the reasons I don't eat anything I can't determine in a Chinese Restaurant. I've heard of those cat & dog stories. I just eat vegetables, shrimp and lo mein!!! That's it! :)

You're going to make me think twice about buying anything out of an espresso machine from now on!
